Question about 2006 Harley Davidson FLSTFI Fat Boy
Hi, Samantha unfortunately, James is incorrect, while your service manual will give you a basic electrical trouble shooting guide it does not cover everything, there is indeed an electrical diagnostic manual for your bike the part number is 99498-06 it costs $60 that also includes shipping and can only be ordered from a Harley Davidson Dealership at that price, there are other places online you can get it but they are more expensive. I have included a link for a free diagnostic manual that is meant for a 2008 Dyna that may have the information you need Harley electronics are very redundant also for $8 you can download a 2003 Softail service manual that includes an electrical diagnostic manual. In the future, if you have any questions just contact me at the email address below. For more information about your issue and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below and for more specific information or questions at no charge please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Good luck and have a nice day.

If you ask this question YOU should not be doing it! but your *** on the seat not mine.
Remove ...........front wheel, front fender, top fork cap and loosen lower triple clamp bolts under head light cover, forks are now out!
Remove 6mm bolt at the bottom of the fork leg and drain oil, remove dust seal and wire clip, now remove the upper fork nut (the spring will jump out at you).Pull the leg and tube away from each other, the old seal will stay on the tube..clean and reassemble driving NEW seal down into place with wire clip.....refill with oil
