I have a 1984 Celica 4 cyclinder, and it will start and run but when I come to a stop it dies out on me. What could be the problem with this?

Please check the:
- Ignition system ( Ignition timing, spark plug cords, spark plugs gaps, vacuum advance actuator, contact breaker gap/ trigger gap).
- Fuel pump pressure (0.2 - 0.3 bar).
- Fuel system (for water contamination, carburetor clogged, element air cleaner clogged or fuel line obstructed).
- Clutch plate slippage ( for manual transmission).
- Brakes adjustment.

Why does circuit breaker spark when turned on?

When any switch or circuit breaker is turned on, and there is a load present, there will be an arc as the current jumps the small gap between the contacts just before they actually touch. For example, if you could see inside a simple light switch you would see this arc as you either turn the switch on or turn it off. On the other hand, if there was no light bulb in the fixture, (this is the no-load situation) there would be no spark. The higher the voltage, the greater the gap that can be jumped. The larger the load (say more, high-watt light bulbs) the larger the spark. Most switches are designed to snap quickly through the position when the contacts are close together, so that the spark doesn't cause too much damage to the contacts.

Need to find contact breaker points gap on super XL automatic chainsaw serial no 50832357 (old chainsaw)

Hi marie hourig...

Set your gap between .18 and .20...if you do not have a feeler gauge to get the clearance right, then you can use a paper match book is approximatly the same thickness as you need.

Fuel mixture fOr cb100 are thet two stroke?

The Honda CB100 has a 4-stroke, single cylinder engine. It runs on straight gasoline, so you don't need to add any 2-stroke premix when you fuel up. On the other hand, you'll probably want to check your valve clearances about every 1500 miles or so--these little engines get run pretty hard, and valves out of adjustment will rob you of desperately needed power. With only 1 cylinder and 2 valves, this doesn't take long at all, once you've done the job a few times.
