Hi, Torri and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting/leaking, spark plug cable connections loose check for spark leakage in the dark.
6. Faulty ignition coil or electronic control module.
7. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
8. Faulty ignition switch.
9. Tilt sensor needs a reset.
10. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

I have a 1995 Fxr low rider and changed the ignition module and now I'm not getting full fire from the coil what could it be

check that the new ignition module is running the same voltage as the one you replaced . Some modules run at 12 volts and others run at 7.5 volts with a resistor in the circuit. These start at 12 volts then revert to 7.5 volts to run

93 sportster only fires on 1 side of coil

Hi Lowbrowbob, on twin cams make sure both spark plugs are in heads and use a grounded third plug to check for spark or hold spark plug cable close to spark plug in head. If still not getting spark the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Battery voltage below 8.7 volts, loose or broken battery cables especially ground cable to frame.
3. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
4. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting / leaking, spark plug cable connections loose.
5. Faulty ignition coil or ignition / electronic module
6. Failed CKP, CMP, MAP or BAS sensor.
7. Faulty ignition switch.

2001 sportster no spark

Hi Anonymous, the CKP sensor needs compression to send correct signal to the ICM/ECM, make sure both spark plugs are in heads and use a grounded third plug to check for spark or hold spark plug cable close to spark plug in head. If still not getting spark the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Battery voltage below 8.7 volts, loose or broken battery cables especially ground cable to frame.
3. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
4. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting / leaking, spark plug cable connections loose.
5. Faulty ignition coil or ignition / electronic module
6. Failed CKP, CMP, MAP or BAS sensor.
7. Faulty ignition switch.
8. Security alarm failing to disarm.

Car will crank there is no spark have replaced coil and condenser

Test the ignition system output, ignition systems can vary in configuration but operate on the same principal. Ignition systems can consist of a coil, pick up coil, crank angle sensor, cam angle sensor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, ignition rotor and a distributor and any variations of these components. An ignition coil is a voltage stepper coil that transforms a low voltage (12 volts) signal into tens of thousands of volts needed to jump the gap of the spark plug.

This coil is activated by an ignition module triggered by using the camshaft/crankshaft angle sensor; timing is adjusted by the PCM (computer). This primary electrical signal is generated by the PCM which calculates spark timing by using a variety of sensors including coolant temperature, mass air flow, and oxygen sensors. Go to 2carpros.com for a video on how to check this using a 12v light tool. On the engine repair section search, type, "engine cranks but will not start." If my answer helpe you, please leve good feedback. thanks

2002 ford escort- replaced fuel pump, filter, fuel injector pressor sensor, plenty fuel getting to rail and car will not run.

Hello, You have serviced the fuel side of any potential problem. Have you checked for spark? You have some Relays on the Powerbox and one should be an Ignition Relay.

If the Ignition Relay is working, then you have Crankshaft and Camshaft sensors, as well as a PCM Relay. A defect in any of these parts can kill the spark as well as a bad coil.

You need to determine if the coil is getting 12 Volts when the key is in the RUN position. If the coil is getting 12 Volts you know that the Ignition Relay is working. You then need to see if the coil is good and firing. If the coil tests good, the triggers to fire, the Crankshaft and Camshaft sensors should be checked.

In some instances, an external timing belt can break and is overlooked because the belt shroud concealing the belt hides the broken belt. If the belt broke on the bottom the belt may remain loosely in place but not be connected to the drive gears. If the engine has an internal timing chain, then try to observe Camshaft movement through the oil fill in the valve cover.

Souds like ignition module has failed. Check for 12 volts to mod and replace mod if voltage is good.
