2005 ford freestar. sometimes the cruise works sometimes it doesn't

Could be any number of issues? Can you check for applicable trouble codes, relating to cruise control? Some of the national brand autostores will check codes for free.
With intermittent issues, have to do testing when problem is ongoing, or you can't find anything. Do you want to check voltage and ground circuit for your cruise control, meaning, check wire circuits using wiring diagrams?
Intermittent issues can be a pain to track.

What does daignostic code dia9 mean?

The IM (instrument module) is capableicon1.png of
displaying DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes).

1- Ignition off
2- push odometer reset
button in & hold. Make sure run switch is on.
3- turn
ignition to run and release button (you will see P, S &C displayed)
4- each letter represents an area of diagnostics... the one that
is flashing is the one you are going to check. To move from one letter to the
next, you push the button one time. (from P to S to C and back to P, etc.)
5- to get DTC within an area, you push and hold the button in
for 5 seconds and if there are any, it will be displayed... you can release the
button. As you push the button again, other codes will appear if they are there.
If there are not any the wordicon1.png 'none'
appears.
6- Record the codes.
7- To
determine if a code is current or historic, you clear the codes while being
displayed by pushing in and holding the button until 'clear' comes up. Turn off
the ignition... then crank or restart the bikeicon1.png... turn
off, and then repeat the code process. If a code is there now, its current... if
not, it was historic.

The check engine lite won't go out after removing the power comander module. 2005 dyna wide glide

Chances are the PC created a trouble code that has not been cleared.

Use your speedo to check for codes.

1. With the bike off, push and hold in your odometer reset button.
2. with the button pressed, turn the ignition on, make sure your run/stop switch is on.
3. your speedo will do a sweep and when it comes back to 0, let your finger off. You should see a variety of letters, PSS ect. if you push the button briefly you can toggle between letters, you need to check every letter. So when the letter is blinking, press and hold the button untill the screen changes. Codes will show up as P0112 or B1110 ect. keep pushing the button untill you have all the codes. You will know when your done with the letter because it will show a part number, Example, P/N 19999-03 ect. Once you go thru every letter like this, writing down the codes, you can look them up online as follows: Harley DTC P0099 ect.
4. If no codes are present, it will go staright to the P/N. and you can click out of that to the next letter.
5.To clear the codes at this point, while you are looking for codes under the different letters, Simply press and hold the button, once it shows you the code.

So show the code, press and hold button till cleared, then press and relese button quickly to move on to the next number.

If after that, you turn the ignition off, then back on like normal, and the light should come back on shortly, but, once you start your engine the light should be off.

How do I set my woods photoelectric timer? It has one button that when the number 0 appears and when pushed again a double line appears. For every time I push the button numbers 1-9 appear. Do you have...

I think this switch is set to go on at dark, then you can set how many hours after it goes on you want it go off. If you want the device to go on at dark and run for 2 hours, you stop at 2.

How to set channels to scan on motorola ht 1000

On the HT1000, there is an A, B, C toggle switch just under the On/OFF/Volume control knob.

When set to A, the radio is IN the scan mode.

When set to B it is NOT in the scan mode.

When switched to C, it is in the scan program mode. There is a green button on the left side above the PTT switch. When you set it to C, you switch the CHANNEL SELECT knob to the desired freq you want to add to the scan list. When there, you push the green button. ONE push gives you a red indicator light on the top of the radio. A 2nd push gives you a GREEN light displayed. A 3rd push gives you NOTHING lit up.

The 1st push (RED light) means you have selected THIS freq as your PRIORITY channel of your scan list when scanning.

The 2nd push (GREEN light) means it is just IN the list, not as a priority channel.

NO light means it is NOT entered into the scan list.

Once you have your list set up, simply flip the A,B,C switch back up to A and you're scanning what you selected.

HOWEVER All of the above is dependent on whether or not the ORIGINAL setup programming from the factory set the radio up for these features to work. If it WASN'T set up that way, you'll have to have it reprogrammed to activate the buttons and the toggle switch for those features to work.

From my understanding it is as a result of you pushing the 2nd start button near the gear lever - ? it means the car takes off in 2nd rather than 1st

No zone 2 sound coming from yamaha amp rx-v861

We had the same problem - I think it was reset when the power went off in a storm. Went to Yamaha website (http://www.yamaha.com/yec/faq/faqdetail.html?CNTID=206010&CTID=5009135) and found the following worked:

Assigning the receivers internal amp for Zone 2:
  1. Set the remote control [SIDE SELECTOR SWITCH] to [AMP]. (Located to the right of the volume buttons on the Remote).
  2. Press the [SET MENU] button on the remote control.
  3. Arrow down to Manual Setup and press the [ENTER] button on the remote control.
  4. Arrow to the Sound Menu option and press the [ENTER] button on the remote control.
  5. Arrow to Speaker Set and press the [ENTER] button on the remote control.
  6. Arrow to the EXTRA SP ASSIGN and select ZONE2
  7. Press the [RETURN] button on the remote control to exit out and return to the Manual Setup.
