Hi, Kaliko I would love to help you with your engine or chassis noise but I just loaned my brand new pair of listening ears to your local dealer's chief technician so he could take your bike for a test ride and give you his professional opinion and estimate about your noise and repair cost. If you are a little short on "DRACHMA" and a Dealership is not on your list of fun places to visit then perhaps the list below will help soothe your worried mind so you can make an informed decision.
1. Bearings---SCREECH
2. Belts---CHIRP
3. Brake Rotors---BUZZ
4. Chains---RATTLE
5. Clutches---CHATTER
6. Shifting Trans---CLUNK
7. Gears---WHINE
8. Front Forks---PLUNK
9. Rear Shocks---SQUEAK
10. Starters---CLICK
11. Solid Lifters---TICK
12. Hydraulic Lifters---TAP
13. Pistons---SLAP
14. Connecting Rods Go---KNOCK-KNOCK---who's there, it's me "*****"

Screaming noise at high speeds

Sounds like wheel bearings. There just isn't a lot on that bike that increases with speed, it's either wheels or engine. If it's engine- it will make noise in neutral. If it's wheels, it will only make noise while actually moving.

Squeaking noise started at 200 miles on bike at low speeds. dealer said could not duplicate. 1,000 mile service mechanic said belt was very tight and had to loosen it. now 4,000 miles later when going thru...

OK first things first, when washing your bike do not use high pressure washers on it. What happens is you strain the seals from the pressure and this causes bearings etc to fail. If your going to wash your bike use a bucket of warm water with a car washing liquid in it and a sponge. When you need to wash the soap off wash it off with a normal garden hose. Don't use jet spray just use the normal hose so it floods your bike with water. Don't worry about getting water in or on the gauges, they are designed to be water resistant.

Sounds like your pulley bearings might be running dry due to the washing. Best to take it to the dealer and have them check all the bearings, that way if they say it is OK and they fail it is their fault.

Sounds serious, but good that you have compression. Can you remove the head? If yes, you can get a look at the cylinder walls.
Hard to diagnose without disassembly.

Rubbing noise comming from underneath or rear of bike.

I will bet the chain is talking to you. I can hear its' voice from here... it's saying " Please adjust me , please adjust me, and lubricate me also." Chains can be such a pain at times. :)
