Auto trans.101
1: check levels by the book, not like engine. RTM
2: check fuses.
3: scan it, or get it scanned. for transmission errors.
if car wont move and RPM goes high as foot presses guess
that is trans slip.
of RPM (engine) does not rise or only tiny,
that is lost engine power, total loss. but idle. (can happen)

My suzuki verona 04, gear shifter is stuck on park, i have to hit the brakes severally for it to move to drive.

There is a lock mechanism that prevents moving shifter out of PARK unless your foot is on the brake. You can bypass this by sticking a small flat blade screwdriver or a key into the little slot on the console by the shift lever.

Are your brake lights coming on when you press the brake pedal? The shift lock is released electrically when your foot is on the brake, and the sensor is tied to the brake light switch circuit. The brake light switch can be seen if you look under the dash at the brake arm. First, check the connector. If the switch is out of adjustment, you can screw it in or out to adjust. Or just buy a new one.

Verona suzuki 2005 lost power up steep hill lights on just died on me and could only get it in reverse would not go in any other gear problem came out of the blue check engine came on 2 sec before car...

A 5 year old vehicle with only 50k miles? A typical vehicle gets driven 20k a year, possible but doesn't sound right. I would look at transmission and Torque converter inside transmission.

Suzuki Verona 05- where do I refill the transmission fluid?

The 04 to 06 verona does not have a transmission dipstick, it is filled with a life time transmission fluid and thus does not need to be filled. If you have leaks and are concerned about the level there is a fill plug. BEWARE these transmissions do no use off the shelf ATF, Check with suzuki for the correct fluid and be sure to bring your checkbook
