Question about 2005 Harley Davidson FLHTCUI Electra Glide Ultra Classic

Lost the speedometer, tachometer, odometer, and cig lighter. Light for security system on but bike runs fine. Have a 06 Ultra classic

Your security system is compromised you need to go to the dealer to get it fixed the bike will probally quit after about a hundred miles give or take

    I Dont Think Interuption In This Cicuit Will Effect Computer Or Security System.Only A Direct Short In The Harness Would That As Well As Blown Fuses

For a 2007, that's not an error code.
Seems as if your disabler is activating.
The key fob for the security system needs a clear signal to the module to disarm the bike. That's why the flashers turn on. If the fob is at the bike, the security module has lost it's memory, the battery needs replacing, or the antenna for the key fob reception is not connected. You also need to squeeze the clutch lever to allow the engine to engage also...new safety feature i think for 07.

To actually get to the diagnosis mode (to read error codes):

1- Turn motorcycle ignition switch to OFF & Run/Stop switch to RUN.
Push odometer reset button in & hold.
Turn ignition switch to Ignition and release odometer reset button. Background lighting will illuminate, speedometer needle should sweep its full range and indicator lamps (battery, security, low fuel, check engine and cruise) should illuminate. The word "diag" should then appear.
Push the odometer reset button once and you will see the selection menu "PSSPt" with the first P flashing.

7 - Record the codes.
8 - If DTC's are not to be cleared, Press and release the odometer reset button. Part number of module will be displayed. NOTE: To determine if a code is current or historic, clear the displayed code by pushing in and holding the odometer reset button ( longer than 5 seconds) until 'clear' comes up. Release the odometer reset button. Turn OFF the ignition switch. Run your bike and shut it down then recheck the DTC's again by repeating steps 1 to 9. If the code is current it will reappear.
9 - Press and release the odometer reset button to continue to the next module.
10 - Turn Ignition switch to OFF.
On models not equipped with a tachometer "No Rsp" will appear when the tachometer identifier is selected.
"No Rsp" will also appear if the run/off switch is in the off position when doing this procedure.


The actual error codes will appear (format) as "P0374", for example.

Why?

Because there's probably a problem!

See what error codes you have:

Turn Ignition switch to OFF & the Run/Stop switch to Run.

It's not a button, it's a process that has been the same since 2001. In addition to what is below, there is a list of diagnostic codes as well. Let me know if you don't have them. Too long for this post. Here it is. Thanks goes to Road Captain:

The IM (instrument module) is capable of displaying DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes).
Speedometer Self Diagnostics: The speedometer is capable of displaying and clearing speedometer, tachometer, TSM/TSSM and ICM/ECM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC).

Also if the code set is a historic code (not a constant light) after 50 start and run cycles of at least 30 seconds each in duration, the light will extinguish itself as long as the error hasn't occurred again.
If it were a current code, the light would remain lit while running.

2009 ultra classic / check engine lite stays on / cruise won't set / oil pressure gauge is low at idle but goes over 32 when rev'ed. 12100 miles. killed once and Black smoke seemed to come from air...


Revove power comander& see w/ happens...I have a 09 flh also I installed a TFI fuler.. wow test Engine light being on. That is the sign there is a Code that is stored. This may help you.

Trying to find the fuse for cig. lighter adpt. either are not marked on 2005 ultra classic


If the cig. lighter is the only thing not working, it's either got it's own seperate fuse or the light is simply bad. It should be wired off the "accessory" fuse. Check for voltage at the wire and then check for a good ground on the lighter.
