When the motor is running cold the headlights don't come on and turn signals don't work until the car has been run for some time. rear window deicer also doesnt work and the seat heaters.

Check for a bad ground on the engine block. You should see some black wires in various spots on the engine. unbolt them and clean the connections and bolt them back to the engine. Make sure the connection loops are in good condition. If you see corrosion, then get new loops and cut back the wires. If you have to cut them back further than they reach, Get some wire that is the same gauge and solder and tape them and attach a new loop. Also check for any ground cables or braids from the engine to the body. Make sure they are in good condition and have a good connection. Also check the connections on the battery.

Headlight not working

Your gonna have to get your a test light which are fairly cheap at the stores if you don't have one or get you a multi meter to check your wiring. If no current is getting to the new bulb it will not work. Disconnect your bulb and check the wiring terminals with that test light, it will light up if you have current there. If not, trace down that wire, checking all plastic clips or connections for corrosion or damages. Just one little connection that is either corroded or not even getting a good ground will make that circuit incomplete.

04 yamaha turn signal doesnt work

Hi, JD before diagnosing any turn signal/running light/parking light issue make sure the bulb is good and the light fuse has continuity with a test light. If you have replaced you OEM lights with LED lights you are going to need a load equalizer. If no turn signals work the cause could be a faulty turn signal module or the connector going to it, look for corroded, loose, or broken pins/sockets. Contact spray cleaner is great for removing corrosion. If your speedometer does not function properly it will have to be fixed first because your turn signal module gets the data from the speedometer for normal turn signal function. If your front turn signals don't work use a test light to check for power and ground at the bulb socket, then start backtracking the wiring through every wire connector to the turn signal switch/button and check for continuity, go all the way back to the fuse if necessary to find the cause of the malfunction. If your rear turn signals don't work check your rear fender wiring harness connector first for corroded, broken, loose pins/sockets, power, and a good ground, (the harness connector is usually located under the seat on the front of the rear fender) then keep tracing the wiring look for obvious harness damage caused by the rear tire. If you still can't find the malfunction backtrack from the rear fender wiring harness connector. If one side does not work you could have a faulty turn signal switch or module check for continuity. I took my 1996 nissian maxima into the dealer ship today to get my check engine light checked out. They didnt fix my engine light and plus when i went to go pick up my car my shifter was stuck in park...

Most automatic cars require that the foot brake be applied before the gear selector is allowed to be shifted from the Park position as the unlock signal is taken from the lamp side of the brake light circuit.
It appears that you have an intermittent fault in the brake light switch and replacing it should solve the problem. The switch is located on a bracket under the dash near the top of the brake pedal arm. You could put a bridging wire across the terminals to confirm if the switch is out and the rest of the wiring is OK. If the shift enable and lights then work, replace the switch.
Replacement is as follows:

To remove switch, disconnect wiring, loosen locknut and unscrew switch. Replacement is reverse procedure. To adjust, screw in switch until operating button is fully depressed by pedal arm, tighten locknut and reconnect wires. Check for correct operation of lights. You may have to unscrew switch slightly to get best operation.
