What is the name of the first hose that is connected directly to the fuel tank.
Its a 1994 Ford Escort.
The hose is really dry-rotted at the ends and has a big crack in it.
Its dumping fuel directly onto the ground out of the tank.
***If possible the size would also be great lol

No, the radiator hose is made for use with water and coolant products only. The Fuel talk filler hose is a specially treated and fabricated type of hosing that is resistant to fossil fuel and oil products. If you try using a radiator hose, you will likely eat through that hose with gasoline and then you will have a really bad situation. I hope I have been of help to you.
on the wagon thay made the vent breather for tank when filling to long unfortunitly their nothing you can do other than feed it really slow backing the pump hose off just alittle but not always affective.
Check for cracked rubber hoses. Of you smell gas, it's finding its way out from somewhere near the tank. It isn't unheard of to have a rotted metal fuel line either. While you are checking, make sure to also check the large rubber hose that connects the filler neck to the tank.
Hi,
The fuel pressure regulator is on the end of the fuel rail, which is where the injectors are plugged into.
It is the round part which is attached to the very end of the rail.
Let me know if you need more information.
Thanks
Jason
The problem with modern cars is they have no drain plugs to drain the fuel system. There are two different ways to remove the fuel from the tank. You can try a 3/8" hose inserted down the gas filler neck and siphon the fuel into a large gas can. The other way is to remove the fuel filter connection and clamp a hose to the filters forward end and use a universal fuel pump to pull the fuel from the tank into a large gas can. Hope that helps, any questions just ask, Rich
Just get a piece of the rotting fuel line so that you will be assured of getting the right size. Take it to a shop that sells car accessories, and ask them for enough to do your car. Also get new clamps. Start at the fuel tank, undo the clamp, pull off the old hose , put on the new one, do up the new clamp, and then just follow the old hose along, replacing it with the new one as you go. At the far end. do the same... undo the old clamp, put the new hose and clamp on. But I forgot to tell you about the fuel filter. Replace this while you are doing this job.
If fuel is leaking on the ground after filling the tank, then the tank should be removed to find a hole in it, it maybe at the top, also check all the fuel lines at the tank. Hope this helps, let me know.
