Raise bike on a scissor jack - Take off left exhaust pipe by removing the clamp holing it on to the pipe coming from engine. Then remove the mount from below saddle bag which holds the top of the exhaust pipe on. Then remove the c clip on right side of the wheel stem. Then using a ratchet and socket remove the wheel stem from the left side of the bike. As wheel comes down make sure you take the belt off. To put it back on just do everything backwards. If you don't have someone to help you hold the wheel up use a pry bar and a block of wood as a fulcrum. You can raise the tire using it and push the wheel stem in from the left side. DO NOT FORGET THE C CLIP

When everything is working pull the fuse and everything that goes off when you pull the fuse are the things you going to check accessories usually means lighting I would check the back of the plug on all your lights and check the wiring that runs underneath your rear fender to see if the tires rub through it anywhere.

2009 ELECTRA GLIDE SEEMS OFF BALANCE WHEN MAKING A SHARP TURN

Hi Anonymous, and the usual suspects are:
1. Improperly loaded motorcycle. Non standard equipment on the front end such asheavy radio receivers, extra lightning equipment or luggage tends to cause unstable handling.
2. Incorrect air suspension pressure.
3. Damaged tire(s) or improper front-rear tire combination
4. Irregular or peaked front tire tread wear.
5. Incorrect tire pressure.
6. Shock absorber not functioning normally.
7. Loose wheel axle nuts.
8. Excessive wheel hub bearing play.
9. Improper vehicle alignment.
10.Steering head bearings improperly adjusted.
11. Tire and wheel unbalanced.
12. Rims and tires out of round or eccentric with hub.
13. Rims and tires out-of-true sideways.
14. Shock absorber improperly adjusted.
15. Worn engine stabilizer links.
16. Damaged rear engine isolation mounts.
17. Swing arm pivot shaft nut improperly tightened or assembled.
Good luck and have nice day

Handling seems alittle loose

I wouldn't think one as new as yours would have swingarm problems. Have you checked your air shocks lately? The FLHTC has air assisted suspension on the front and rear as best as I can remember.

One other thing, I have heard people complain about Dunlop tires. They say that they don't like them because of that problem. I've never noticed a problem with Dunlops but I ride a Wide Glide. I have recently changed to Metzler 880's tires. They seem to handle well but the braking is not too good on them. The rear tire will lock up and never make a sound. You don't know it's locked until the bike tries to go sideways a bit. Not good.

Good Luck
Steve

To much vibration handle bars/ furring

First I would check the brackets that hold the fairing on the bike. These brackets are known to break! ( Mine 2004 Glide 4 times ) .This is a major cause of vibration on the front of bikes like ours. If this is not the case I would check ballance of the front tire
