Xbox 360 wont play any disk keeps saying no disk

Try cleaning the disk, if that doesn't work, try another disk, if that doesn't work, then turn the xbox off, take the hard drive out, put it back in, then try playing the game again.

Bought guitar hero 5 xbox game w/guitar..disk spins and then says unreadable contact support...

Are other games working correctly in your Xbox 360?

Is this a brand new disk? or did you buy used?
if used, check for major scratching on the disk. If scratched heavily you can try to buff out scratches with a lint free cloth, I have also heard that toothpaste could be used for buffing out scratches, but I would only try this as a last resort.

If other games work fine in your Xbox, it's probably the disk. Make sure you have the XBOX version of the game (and didnt accidentally grab the PS3 game instead or something)

If it is the right version of the game and brand new and not working, call Activision and tell them you have a bad disk, if it's brand new I can't see how they wouldn't replace it. Or just return it to the store.

Every disc put in the xbox just says reads but never opens the disc

Im sorry to say it sounds like your laser lenses in your Xbox 360 has stopped working, so here are your options.
  1. Buy an lenses cleaning disk and try and clean the lenses. Heres a few examples
  2. If you have a warranty on the Xbox 360, make Microsoft fix it. they will fix it to no cost.
  3. If you have no warranty and the lenses cleaning disk didn't work, then your last option is to find a repair service to replace the lenses for you, or replace the lenses yourself. They cost about $15, here's a few examples, but if you replace it yourself, it requires you to open the Xbox 360 which voids the warranty on the Xbox 360.

The console says the disk is unreadable but there are no scratches on the disk. We turn it off/on, clean the disk but get the same error message.

If it's not an xbox 360 disk or movie disk that will work with your xbox, It probably isn't supported on your xbox. If it's one of the first two, something really is wrong with either the disk itself (not made correctly), or your xbox needs to get sent in to be fixed.

Assassin's Creed 2 won't load on Xbox 360

Sounds like your cd drive is not reading the discs properly. If that's not the problem, then you have a scratched disc on your hands.

Do what I did. Go to sellitbroken.com and sell your scratched/non-working game to them. They will give you good money for it.

Xbox 360 disk drive not working right

Ok, if you are sure this disk is readable and all the other disk work fine, this will confirm optical lens damage. i would replace this optical lens assembly asap. this will fix your issue.

You should know that, if the Xbox states that the disk is unreadable, it may be the disk. if you are positive that this disk is good, simply replace the optical lens assembly.

Unreadible Disk as soon as I put the disk in.

do other games work? if not your magnet in your xbox console disk drive may be defective and i would suggest returning it to Microsoft to have them look at it. If other games do work your fallout 3 disk may be severely scratched or the magnetic strip on it may have gotten demagnetized or otherwise damaged and will most likely need to be replaced...sorry

Disk drive problem

Check to make sure nothing is blocking the drive opening all the way if something is the drive will auto close to not damage the drive if that is not the case then check all the controllers to make sure non are pressing any buttons when you try. and try connecting your xbox 360 to xbox live to make sure it is fully updated if it is not any of that then it sounds like it is a hardware issue and you will need to call
