Sounds like dirt in the carb, there are two sets of jets, one for idle one for load.
Strip and clean the carb.

I have a 94 yz 125 we had to advance the timing all the way to the right to make it run, but still does run right, and it will start up and run backwards

first I would check the stator that could make it run backwards, also put it ob a stand start it and if the tire going backwards in neutral could be just vibration. somehow your timing is still off check those two issues

My yz 250 will start with a roll start,but I can't

Not sure of the age of your YZ 250 ( You never said!) but in most Yamaha they use dual stage stator which means a stator will charge a spark plug at two speeds one on kick starter speed and the other on running speeds it is common that the low speed circuit on the stator to fail leaving you with a bike that only starts when pushed its a very simple test to diagnose it be worth checking you have spark on kick starter speeds with spark plug out the motor but still connected

I have a 07 YZ 250 F..Was starting to run poorly, like it was lossing power..I just purchased the bike from some one who said it was just rebuilt..Checked compressoin and was a litttle low 60 psi. Removed...

I would start by making sure you have the stator pluged in all the way sometimes these are hard to get completly plugged in. Then test the stator and coil with an OHMs meter to determine which is bad. No need to buy parts you may not need get them tested or test them so you know for sure what is bad.

Are you sure it has a good plug and spark? If not you might have bent the float when you cleaned the carb, try spraying starting fluid in the intake and crank the motor, if it fires the problem is fuel, one of the Jets in the carb might be clogged also make sure you have no water in your gas.

I got a 01 yz 250 it gets spark every once in a

if the coils and CDIs have been replaced, you may want to check your wiring, this is usually caused by a damaged like grounding the frame and affecting the spark.

I have a 2000 yzf that will not Fire.

The stator is a magnet that passes over coils. This generates the electrical current that is then amplified by the coil to create a spark. yes the stator is needed to create the fire.
