Question about 1974 Yamaha DT 360
I have a 1974 yamaha dt 360. It kicks back when i try to kick it over. It's hard to start. It runs ok at idle but is gutless and pings at take off. It has good spark and fuel flows freely through the petcock. I changed plug and cleaned carburetor. Since the bike kicks back does that mean its an electrical problem and not a fuel problem? Could it be the pulsar coil? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks
Its not an electrical problem. the engine either misfires or backfires. you have to be careful since kickbacks can be painful when the stater lever hits your leg.i believe you have to retune your engine, since its an old bike.
