I have a 2007 Vauxhall vector. Car is fine unless I go out in it then leave it for over an hour. It then turns over fine but will not start. Leave it a further hour it starts. Two diagnostics no fault

Try turning key to on for a few seconds without starting it, count to ten. Then turn key. If it starts right up it probably a camshaft sensor. If it starts hard and still randomly it may be your maf.

Won't start, battery good

I understand how you feel about underhood tasks. The termnial connections were the easiest for me to start with. I suggest you have a tech check thie wiring on this vehicle. You obviously have a bad ground wire that will need to be traced to find a solution.

if the car just wine's when starting like it would normally and nothng is happening...Check for fuel, either find the fuel pressure relief valve near the rear of the engine, and depress the valve stem (fuel should hit the roof of hood) if not then its a fuel problem, try this a couple times, but turning the key over, and listen for noise from the gas t ank to see if the pump is actuating.. if you hear the noise while just turn the keyy to acc, not start plz comment back that you hear it , but its still doesnt start....

Rx 300 randomly will not start

Do you hear a faint single click noise when you turn the key to crank position?

When the problem occurs try to keep cycling the key to the crank position at least 10 times to help isolate the problem. If it has any clicking or reaction to the cycling of the key it may be worn contacts inside the starter.

2007 Honda Fit

The battery may need to be replaced, the battery is not holding a charge or you didn't run car long enough. Try boosting again and let the car run for about 1/2 an hour to 1 hr. Then try to start the next day. If it doesn't start you will need a new battery. Even when you don't drive this vehicle especially in the winter time you should start this car and let it run for about 10 minutes once every week. Good Luck contact me if you need more help
