He had an infarction in his right thigh. Similar to a clot that causes a stroke if it is in the brain, a heart attack if it is in the heart and an embolism if it is in the lung, an infarction in his leg blocked the flow of blood. House explains this in the "Pilot." It is further explained in "Three Stories" that his condition went misdiagnosed for three days causing severe nerve damage and muscle death. They wanted to amputate his leg but he opposed it. The surgery that tried to restore blood circulation and removal of dead muscle tissue left his leg permanently impaired and in chronic pain

Are they still together at the end of season 2? I got confused about what really ended up happening for them. Their relationship is pretty complicated. What do you think will happen next for them heading...

They are still together, but you're certainly right about it being complicated relationship. Rollo seemed to really mature however, after the fall-out from his near-execution for his epic betrayal. He did tell Siggy that the "new" Rollo had no more feelings or desires for Lagertha. It will be interesting to see if Rollo reverts back to his old "sleep with whoever I want" self, especially after confronting Siggy about her sleeping with the (former) King Horic.

How does it end?

Brenda gives birth to Willa. David and Keith and the boys move into the funeral home. Ruth moves to her sister Sarah's house. Federico and Vanessa purchase a different funeral home. Claire moves to New York even though the job offer which prompted her to leave falls through. On her way to New York, we see flashes of the future: Ruth and Bettina have opened a dog-day-care; Durrell watches David at work; Willa celebrates her first birthday; David and Keith get married; Ruth dying with George, David and Claire at her bedside; Claire marrying Ted; Keith killed in a robbery (also the name on the armored car was 'Charles Security'. So Keith wound up owning and operating his own bank security service); David dying on a family picnic, right after seeing a vision of young Keith smile at him; Federico dying on a cruise ship with Vanessa; Brenda dying as her brother Billy talks to her; and finally 102-year-old Claire dies in bed.

Isn't this based on (insert name of American political figure here)

It is an adaptation of a series of British books written in the late 1980s. The author is a former British political figure. If anything, it (and the BBC series which followed) is based on British political figures.

Who is the Green-Eared Spaghetti Monster?

He is revealed in the last episode as Erroll Childress, also known in the show as "The Man With the Scars," and unofficially by fans as "The Lawnmower Man" because he is encountered by Rust and Marty, and later Gilbough and Papania, mowing lawns at a school and a cemetery, respectively, as part of a contract with the local parish. He is a local handyman and works for his father's company, Childress and Sons. He is seen at different times mowing schoolyard lawns and painting at elementary schools. Erroll Childress is revealed at the end of the first season as the killer of Dora Lange and others. A little girl being chased by him gave a description of him to police that resulted in the sketch depicting the "Green-Eared Spaghetti Monster." Viewers find out that Erroll's ears were green because he had recently put a fresh coat of green paint on the Fontenot house. He is a "spaghetti monster" due to his severe facial scarring.
