SOURCE: pulsar 150 gear shifting hard. oil leaking from

ckeck your drain plug , if not check in between case crack or damage cracks. if to serious could be a problem . If you do not
fix it at leat make sure you check oil level everytime before
riding . also carry a quart with the bike, this could get you out of a
hard time. but you should take it to the shop, and let them fix
it.......OK good luck

SOURCE: Pulsar 150 1year old, bike oil leak from below the gear shifting rod. Twice I go and check in bajaj service center they check and said that they seal the leak but again with in one week it repeat..

Hi, it could be the rod movement is not set properly if its going to far it could be opening the oil seal allowing oil to by-pass .

SOURCE: Pulsar 150,18000 kms done now the gear shifting is very hard what you the problem

Often when the gears become "rough" or "hard", it is an indication for you to change the oil. A simple oil change should solve this. Go for good quality oil.

Customer complaint

Have you ever replaced the clutch plates ?? Either clutch needs adjusted, or clutch plates need replaced, could just be the drive plate, which is the first outer plate, It is 9 years old this is a normal thing that happens. Any more Questions please ask, I rebuild bikes all the time. JOHN

Hi sir i am pavan can u give suggestion for increase the mileage and pickup of my bike and my bike is 150 old pulsar 2003 or 2004 model

Hi keep one thing in your mind mileage and pickup both are inversely proportional if you try to increase the mileage the pick up will go down if you increase the pickup mileage will go down. Follow the steps to keep the engine in good condition.

Every 2000 kms 1.change the oil 2.clean the spark plugs 3. clean the air filter change if needed. 4. check the clutch plates. 5. check chain play and ride the bike 40 to 60 kms speed max it will increase your mileage.

I Pull in the clutch handle but cannot shift the bike into gear. How do I tell if this is a clutch problem or a transmission problem?

When did this problem start? has the bike been sitting for any long period of time? any background on the bike leading to your problem would help.
questions
1. will the bike shift into gear not running all gears check it first put the bike on the center stand and rotate the rear wheel and go through the gears shifting if that is ok your good
2. shifting into gear bike running does not want to go?
grinds or lurches forward? problems from sitting for long months or yrs. sometimes when a motorcycle sits the clutch plates that are in oil will act like they are glued together ans some time can be freed after the engine oil has warmed up, in worse case you have to remove the r/h clutch cover and remove the clutch pressure plate and separate each of clutch plates and reassemble it.

No pick up :(

Actually I too had the same problem when i bought the new pulsar in 2007 dec, For the first 4 months i struggled a lot because of this low pick up problem, I had given my bike for the Show room services 3 times in 4 months,Every time they will be Tighthing the cluth & applying greece over the grooves, but it does'nt worked up & my bike was reaching only 80 km(maximum) after giving the high throttle for long time... and the mileage would be 23 Km,,,But i went for the service out side the company few guys told it would be the Piston shaft problem,, few guys asked me to change the Clutch plate,,, One Mechanic Just lubricated my clutck plates(serviced it Just released the jam Clutch plates) Now 1 and half year gone it is giving the Mileage of 52 Kms,And the maximum speed 113(which I had tried).....Going smoothly....
