Hi Anonymous, you have a hard/dead short that should be easy to find generally they are the easiest. Time to get out your test light and start tracking the wire from the power side of the switch, circuit breaker or the blown fuse receiver, when the test light quits lighting you are very close to your short. How do I diagnose a recurring blown fuse in a gmc acadia 2009 50 v causes car to get stuck in park, no power windows, no lights, no temperature controls, power locks

You buy the GM factory manual and then use the wiring diagrams to track down the systems the fuse supplies power to, and one by one you go through each circuit until you find the short circuit. There is no cut and dry way that works every time to find this type of an automotive electrical problem, I have been doing auto electric for 25 years and seldom does the same repair fix more than one car or truck. You can also rent the manuals for download at this site for about $40 per year, a great deal. www.alldatadiy.com

Bike has shut down while running.no ignition, lights or any indication of electrical power

Check the fuse box for blown fuses. There is probably a main fuse that turns off power to the entire bike. It is some times separate from the other fuses and is normally located on or near the starter solenoid.

check all wiring harnesses where the wires are tight together it sounds like you just have another cut wire that you cant seem to find, and please mention if its the same fuse that keeps blowing or is it a different one every time, and if you find no cut wires then double check all the grounds.

Can a voltage regulator/rectifier if not working properly blow the main fuse. I have a 2002 v-star 1100. I was riding when all of a sudden the bike died on me. I lost all power no light, turn signals,...

YES!
Good link here:
http://www.flygenring.dk/yamaha/artikler/1100ChargingSystem.pdf

Symptoms:
Lights flickering at times and/or battery gets hot to the touch

Problem:
Reglator/Rectifier

When the regulator dies, it allows as much as 19 volts to appear across the battery. This is not good. It will cook the battery and the battery could even explode. Fuse can not stand up to this!

Fuse blows without bike on wont run

Manufacture wiring is usually pretty solid and when stuff like this happens, it is usually because something changes.
Which fuse is it? Usually there is a label on the fuse box.
Please clarify the circumstances of how this happened. Were you riding along at freeway speeds in a straight line, or perhaps leaned over in a sharp curve, or performed any recent changes/repair to the bike?
Any way, the fuse is the built in weak point to protect whatever is using the power from the battery. The problem is between the fuse and the end device(s).
As always... look the bike over really well and be sure to look for anything odd like wires up against something hot or wrapped around corners and other possible chafing points.
Find out what that circuit supplies power to and remove at least one device from that circuit.
Be sure to only do one at a time.
For each thing disconnected, check and see if the fuse blows again. ( I found an ohm meter will be misleading at times so I just invest in fuses for this test) Also, as you disconnect each device, with the fuse removed, check the hot wire (power supply) of that device for ground (with an ohm meter). If it is grounded, the problem may lie between that device and the fuse.

Accidentaly switched 12v and ground on amp

NOTHING INTERNAL BUT YOU SHOULD PUT A 30 AMP FUSE BACK IN AS SOON AS YOU CAN TO KEEP THE 20 AMP FROM POPPING THATS THE WHOLE REASON FOR THE FUSE TO KEEP THE ELECTRONICS FROM BLOWING
