3900ml, you should try some of the Castrol V-Twin oil, good stuff.

great news you can only win with this. i bet if you pull a spark plug and look at it, it will be white or close to it. if so your motor is lean, it's not get the right amount of gas. when you put pipes on a bike it lets more air flow and you need to jet your carb. you local bike shop can help you get a jet kit and handle the install if needed. when done right you get more performance out of it. while you are look into jets get a high flow air filter or look into a hyper charger they come a jet kit, k&n air filter and the air scoop price isn't bad rsports.com/wps/Honda_OEM/HondaMC.asp?Type=13&A=474&B=25

SOURCE: backfiring on deceleration from exhaust pipes

May be running too lean or too rich. Check the color of your plugs, black dry and sooty means they are rich, white with blisters lean.

SOURCE: what type of oil does a 2004 Honda 1300 vtx used?

Do not use Honda oil. It's garbage. The best oil for your bike is Amsoil 10w/40 synthetic. You can get it on their website. Because it's a wet clutch, always use synthetic. Another good oil is Royal Purple synthetic oil. 10w/40 as well.

2004 Honda VTX 1800C. I just changed the slave cylinder seals now I can ride anywhere with no problems or slip or anything. But after I stop and turn the bike off, the clutch point is last minute.

Question edited for clarity, full year maker model.
Question moved to model category.

Not sure what you mean by "clutch point is last minute", but after driving it a bit, bleed the lines again and adjust the clutch.

Backfire on deacceleration

Get the fueling set up on a rolling road. Honda set the fuelling to suit the Emissions and the Exhaust they fitted. An after market exhaust will usually have less backpressure and need a set up. When you say backfire, do you mean a great big bang or just a little popping sound from the exhaust? If it is the latter, it isn't a massive problem but a set up will cure it. A Big Bang could be a cause for concern as it means the ignition is taking place when the Exhaust valve is open and firing in the exhaust itself. This will give a drop in performance and may cause the engine and exhaust to fail.

Fuel injection..Hard to start will not idle and pouring gas out the exhaust.2003 vtx

if this is a vtx 1800 then you need to look at the fuel pressure regulator, this is faulty and sending fuel up the vacuum hose, they are around £40 to buy and about an hour to fit. they play up any time from 6000miles,even know to one 2000 miles but was changed on warranty.

How do you check the coolent on the vtx 1300?

It is rather easy to check coolant on the vtx all models 1-level the bike [block under kick stand wheel also blocked] 2-look under bike at the overflow bottle midwaynear the oil filter.3-there are marks on the bottle clearly showing high ,low, and middle.what you want is the middle line or level when the engine is cold.4-afiller tube is provided on the left side under the plastic side panel.do not overfill or you will have to do some siphoning to bring level back down. If you wish to check the coolant mix 50/50 then an antifreeze guage will have to be used
