You need new regulator and new battery. The battery works as a filter as well.If it is in bad condition it does not filter anything and in high rpm the current is very high.

SOURCE: Sparks from wire leading to ignition coil.

Is the coil properly grounded, sounds like its finding an alternative ground, make sure the metal of the coil where it is bolted to the frame makes good electrical contact with the frame, unbolt it and clean up the metal on the frame and coil with emery paper, dab grease on the metal contact of the coil and bolt it back to the frame - see if the problem persists.

Fiat Palio 1.2 firing order

didnt change them 1 by one, you bad boy.

id get the real engine name and google that or buy the FSM book.
at FIAT.

1.2 F.I.R.E engine.
comes in 2 favors
  • 8v SMPI VVT (2007 - current)
  • 16v SMPI (1998 - 2009)
most non boxer engines, are 1,3,4,2 (but this is pcm job not you )
google shows
IT'S WASTED SPARK SYSTEM !
google hit #1
It's cast into the cylinder head. Look across from the passenger side of the car- you'll see 2314 just above the coils.

sounds like this engine is with a COIL pack, You never said.
and with a twin pack , all 4 bangers are wasted spark.
so 2nd 3 fire on one coil (in series) and 1and 4 fire in tandom.
but the PCM sets order. not you,
it only needs to have to pack wired right.
and is clearly marked on most better made coil packs
did you look first.?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
one more google poster , no FSM. shows
coil towards the front of the car is cylinder 2 and 3
coil towards the back of the car cylinder 1 and 4
as shown below

make sure you have the plugs to the coils the right way round thou i

4 ----[o]4
1 ----------------[o]1
2 ------------[o]2
3 --------[o]3

-----------------------------------------------------------------
me.....
when the PCM fires coil 1/4 , it better be wired to 1 and4 or
it will not run. (ir shakes like a wet dog)
simple as can be.

yes, the front cylinder is #1
now where is front. you say?, that be, on the crank pulley end.
not the clutch.side.

if still confused a drawing is easy to make.
1sparkfront, to 1 coil
2 spark to coil 2
3 spark to coil 3
4 spark to coil 4. rear cylinder is 4.
1,2,3,4 front to rear.

Rear cylinder not fireing on my 2000 night train

Ignition leads. They do break down over time and so maybe if you simply replace them you'll solve the problem.

Rear cylinder not firing

Carb or fuel injection? Spark or no spark? Check for spark by putting a new plug into lead and laying on cylinder head. Leave old plug in engine. Start bike. If carb and no spark then plug or coil would be first suspects, then ignition module, then wiring from coil to ignition module. This is assuming you have compression on rear cylinder and all mechanical checks completed. If fuel injection and good spark, then ECU most common problem. Then injector, then wiring. If no spark, check coil, then wiring frpm coil to ECU, then ECU.

I have single fire ignition and I got no spark. It has dyna coils and on a 1981 80 ci lowrider white lead is on back side of coil black lead is on front side outside coil and reds strap front to back of...

The coils primary circuit terms. should be labeled "+" and "-". With key on check for 12v @ wire to "coil +" and "coil -" grounds through points. When ground's removed (points open) magnetic field collapses inducing high voltage (spark) in "secondary" circuit.

I am getting no spark but power is going to my coil, it seems like it sparks when it wants to but most of the time it doesn't

Well you don't list a model or type of motor but with most coils like this they require some type of points or rotors that tell the coil when to send fire to the spark plugs. You might also have a crack in the top of the coil that causes the spark to not fire correctly or efficiently. If this is an older motor and you have points, the points may be burned and need to be replaced and adjusted to the correct firing gap. There are two leads going to the coil. One from the battery and the other lead comes from your points. That is the lead that sends the signal to fire. You need to follow that lead to it's source and that should lead you to the problem as to why the coil isn't firing correctly.

There is no power going to the dist cap. I put a new coil in but this did not fix it. The spark plugs will not fire. Everything works but the plugs will not fire. The engine just turns. Ichecked the wires...

U have a power wire that has been breached ur gonna have to check continuity to ur power wire at the coil and dist hook one lead to the fuse that supplies power and other lead to to same circuit under hood at coil repeat step with all wires on coil and dist just to be sure.

Rear cylinder not firing

The first thing I would do is replace the spark plugs again. You can foul a plug and it will cause you more problems than you can ever imagine. I see you have done all the logical things that I would recommend but I did not see you have replaced the plugs after the 200 miles. You would be surprised at how many times a $2.00 part can cause fits beyond belief.
