I have a 1988 Harley-Davidson FXR 1340 Super Glide. It runs fine but battery is not being charged?

Edited to include FULL year make and model. Category moved from Cars and Trucks. Deleted the duplicate post that said the 'battery is not charging the battery' :>)

There is a video in the link that tells you how to check the charging system. It is more likely to be a bad connection in a connector plug.

Reasons why both spark plugs keep fouling on my 1993 1340 evo harley davidson

make sure you are running the correct plug and wires for your engine and that it is properly gapped. if your piston rings are worn, excess oil burning can foul the plugs. make sure the carb is properly jetted and/or the fuel injection system is properly mapped.
