I'm not sure but it could probably be your idle speed or maybe cloged air filter.

Sounds like your idle/intermediate carby jet has a blockage, take the four base screws out , remove carby bowl , there will be a main jet in the centre, then a smaller one in front of that, usually a small flat head screwdriver. take jet out, blow it out with compressed air and look through the jet to make sure it is clear. if air doesn't unblock it try a piece of very fine wire. hopefully that will fix your problem.

Bought the Bike Used from a HD Dealer 2004 XL1200C Sportster. 2400 Miles 2nd time I took the Bike for a ride It was Slamming into Gears Very Loudly, Had the Clutch adjusted and Gasket Replaced, Next Time...

check for the pinched vacuum line at the carb,, sportys are hard to locate because they are tucked in way behind , it ay have come disconnected, unless there is a load on the motor it will idle fine, add a little load and you get the feeling no fuel is getting through unless you rev it up

I need to know where to adjust the, when i stop for a light and i am in gear i need to crank the throtle a little or it feels as though it will stall

If your bike is equipped with a carburetor, remove the air filter cover and you'll see a square looking top on the carb. Jutst to the right of this is a screw. This is the throttle stop screw. Turning it clockwise increases the idle speed. If your bike is fuel injected, you'll have to take it somewhere to have the idle set as it is done electronically.

Good Luck

Hi, I've got a bmw r100 rt 1981. At high speed 105 mph, after about 1/4 of a mile the engine cuts out and when speed drops to about 80 mph it starts to pick up again. The bike starts and runs fine although...

sounds like you need to look at the carbs there not getting a good fule flow to them,,,,check this first,,you need to adjust both carbs to open the same amount and this can only be done on the throtle cable's at the carb,,,if your bike feels a bit lower on power than your palls,,do a compreshion test on both bikes,,if his has more compreshion than yours thats why he can wip you on hills!

My 450 hp gas gas atv missfires when the throtle is relesed, then stalls and loose power

100% the issue is too much air. get your carb checked, reduce air intake.

open the air intake on the carb about 4 full turns then start the bike. if it does not want to start open the idle bring it up at least 5 turns. when it start at a very high rev, start closing the air intake slowly until you feel and hear you have hit the right spot. adjust your idle in the process.

NOTE: missfires may also be caused by a fouled out sparks

Ryobi lawn trimmer keeps stalling out. I have

If it is a relatively new unit it should have the carburetor adjusted after the first few hours of use. If it stalls upon accelleration the low speed adjustment on the carb needs to be opened a little bit. If it runs a few minutes and then stalls it could be the high speed jet needs to be opened or the fuel filter is clogged.
