Hi Thomas:
My sympathies re your bike getting stolen.
There will undoubtedly be a way to bypass the ignition but you must appreciate that anyone posting that information would really be contributing to the potential theft of a lot more bikes.
Also, since the amount of damage is unknown, doing any hot wiring could lead to more problems.
If you had insurance, the cost of moving the bike should be covered.
If you didn't, I'd recommend getting some buddies with a pickup truck, some straps, and the promise of beer and pizza when the bike gets into your shop.
Best of luck.
If you want to wire it in yourself any ignition will fit any bike. If you don't possess these skills it is unlikely you will find anything other than the original part that will fit. Go for the factory part. It is both your cleanest option, and the one least likely to have your bike stolen again.
you will most probably need a new ignition switch and repair any wiring the dirt bags cut to steal your bike , strip out hte ignition switch housing so you can see where the wiring has been damaged good luck
CHASE YOUR POWER FROM THE BATTERY TO THE SOLENOID AND THE STARTER, IS IT IN NEUTRAL , MOVE THE BIKE BACK AND FORTH, MOVE EASILY CHECK THE NUETRAL SWITCH ON THE ENGINE IS IT GROUNDED.
The most likely problem is a a short circuit in the ignition barrel. It would give all of the symptoms you are experiencing. Although the speedo may have an internal short as well. The ignition barrel is just a tube with switches in it, it controls the power distribution for your entire bike.
how about replacing the fuse by the battery it is a master fuse and thats what it sounds like
since all lights and bike runs after a bump it sounds like a master fuse problem
if not check your batterie ground it might be cut or loose
