Because as your honda sits over night the gas in the line runs back to the tank. and using the choke helps to suck the gas to the combustian chamber

I want to replace the original carb on my 75 MGB with a weber, should I use a water, manual or electric choke weber carb ??

It depends on where you live really. Let's say you live in Texas, the fall and winter mornings can be bitterly chilly...but by noon be hot as heck. During the summer it is hot always. If it were me I'd use a manual choke in southern areas. or if I were in Michigan I'd probably use a electric choke. I actually say that because manual chokes in a place like Michigan will get stiff, rusty or freeze without proper maintenance and shielding. I lived in Alaska and Cheyenne Wyoming and noticed in Alaska that cable chokes and linkages would bind up in extreme temperatures. But when all else fails try the Weber Electric choke.

Reset factory alarm

There IS a reason it comes on. It isn't there for looks, it serves a purpose. Verify you have the right amount of oil. Make sure when the oil is changed it is the right viscosity and weight recommended by Honda (probably a 5W-30). When it's cold, the oil is thicker and harder to pump. So typically people in colder climates should run a lower weight oil in the winter (probably 5W30 in the winter, and 10W30 in the summer)

I have a 1999 chevy cavalier and i went to start it up last nite but didnt start up but went this morning after couple tries started right up ...i dont know what could be ?

This is because the spark plugs are fouled out have the spark plugs replaced and make sure they are winter plugs some cars have colder plugs for the summer which have a hard time in the winter.

Cold start problems with 1987 honda accord

I have an 87 accord manual carbureted with 200k miles on it and mine has done that ever since I got it. I've owned it for about four years now and the previous owner told me it happens. I have no idea what it means but the only problem I've ever had was when the alternator went out last summer (which I doubt is related but had similar symptoms).

Not a solution, more just commiseration.
