There is a bolt behind the sprocket 17mm or 19 mm not sure. loosen it. then there is a serrated ring that you need to use the spanner tool in your tool kit or if you don't have that spanner tool you can use a long punch or long flat head screwdriver, turn it either way depending if you want to tighten or loosen then when your done tighten the bolt back up

1976 t140 primary noise

Not very detailed question.
Chain noise?
Clunking noise?
Rattling noise?
All the time?
Only when clutch is pulled in?
Only at high RPMs?
Only at high speeds, regardless of RPMs?

From your lack of info, I'm gonna throw out "primary chain adjustment".

I had a new tire put on the rear now i have a noise on left side of bike if the tire was not put on proper would it cause this?It is there with motor off bike in nutural rolling down a hill please help ...

If it has only started doing it with that tyre, then it is possible that that tyre is not compatible with your bike. Sounds silly, I know. But bikes are strange animals, and some tyres will create speed wobbles and vibrations and when you change them over to another brand it all goes away. Take it back to the people who fitted the tyre and have them check it out. If they find nothing ask them to fit another brand of tyre to see it that cures the problem.

How do I tighten chain on 2004 daytona triumph 600

Good Afternoon. To Adjust the chain:

1. Position the bike on its stand, or up on paddock stands if you have them.
2. Loosen the rear wheel spindle nut (see diagram below)
3. Slacken the adjuster locknuts on each side of the swinging arm
4. Moving both adjusters by an equal amount, turn the adjuster bolts clockwise to increase chain free-movement and anit-clokcwise to reduce chain free-movement.

Important - Ensure that the wheel spoindle blocks on both sides of the bike reamin in contact with the adjusters through this process.

5. When the correct amount of chaiin free-movement has been set, push the wheel into form contact with the adjuster. Tighten both adjuster locknuts, and the rear wheel spindle.

Clicking sound from rear wheel

If shaft drive, check that the bolts are tight on driveshaft housing and also look for oil leak there.
Check/ Change rear gear oil. Tighten loose bolts

If chain driven, check/ adjust chain tension, a loose chain will make noise.
if chain is dirty it will make noise.

Other than that the only thing i can think of is you have a nail in your tire and your hearing it hit the road everytime it goes around
