Question about Harley Davidson FXDL Dyna Low Rider Motorcycles
As you have got a GOOD spark when you held the spark plug against the cylinder head, you need to either do Compression test or Leak-Down test to discern where the problem might lie.In the real world, sudden, overnight loses of compression are rare. However, if the bike has been sitting for any length of time, then all bets are off. If you don't have the proper test equipment, a Quick and Dirty test is to hold your thumb or finger over the spark-plug hole and crank the engine. If you feel noticeable pressure, the compression is probably enough to get the engine started.
Note - I am taking into consideration that the Battery is not Failing.
I will not jump to conclusion directly to Ignition Coil as there are so many other factors.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
