Hi i have a peugeot 207 hdi. it just stopped starting up one day tried jump leads but no joy but bumped it amd it started. i put a new starter motor on but it still wont start battery is fine

By bump start do you mean you can have it pushed or push it, jump in and depress the clutch and get it started using the momentum of the vehicle to turn the crank? I usually call that a jump start but I think I have heard it called bump start (from having it bumped/pushed by another vehicle I think). Anyway if that is the case you need a new starter. Yes make sure your cooling fans are working and check the thermostat in the engine.

hi if the engine wont even turn over then the chances are the starter motor needs replacing, if the engine is turning over and it just wont start then you need to look at things like the fuel pump or fuel pump relay

Deep joy. This can be a royal pain. The only way I have successfully done this is to put a battery charger on the car overnight, locked, and then when the battery is sitting at about 15v unlock it with the remote - when the lazy deadlock is stirred into action. It can take a couple of attempts. It really is incredibly difficult to get to. Otherwise, its most easily a case of breaking the unit...though you could try taking the leads off and applying 18v to the solonoid directly. That was my next move, but never needed to get there. You can however stop the deadlock from locking, by cutting one of the wires, test using a multimeter which one is live when you arm the alarm/deadlock the car. Thats also the one to apply 18v to if you want to.

sounds like you have a lazy starter, had this problem a while back.
