I have a 08 883 XL Low I have no Harley oil but have Castro active 4t. 15w-50 is that alright to use?

That Daelim uses ang ordinary 4T oil, which is 15W/40 or a hi grade 20W/50 for the engine. The 90W lubricant, you are saying is for the gear oil or differential.

As an alternative to recommended oils, top brand oils meeting or exceeding CCMC G-4, A.P.I. S.G. specifications can be used.

My recommendation is Castro 10W40. Make sure it says 4T ( for a 4 stroke).

It can do, depends on a few things, have you just added some to top up, what sort did you add. Mixing mineral oils with synthetics can sometimes upset things, reduce the effectiveness of the oil, give you clutch slippage problems, make the engine run noisy, bring about (worst case if its totally the wrong oil) premature failure engine component failure.

If in doubt, for what new oil is worth, i would just drop it and replace with fresh oil. I like to use Activ-4T-Motorbike-Oil-15W-50-4-Litre.aspx?pid=20019#details">Castrol Activ 4t in my older motorcycles. If you are in a cold climate, you may go to a 10/40 oil. Operating temperature is often a decider.

20w50 for most regions, 15w 40 for cooler regions.

Be sure to replace the filter at the same time.
