Oil leaking from my 1994 Vanden Plas where engine attaches to exhaust

I can make a couple of suggestions here. First for oil to be leaking there must be a leak from a bad gasket...either from the head, (hope not) or head cover gasket....easy fix. It may be as easy as tightening down the covers. I would change the head cover gasket and make sure it is tightly screwed down.
Second the correct oil is 20w50 and preferably not a synthetic.
You will see an improvement in the oil pressure if you are not using 20w50.

I have oil leaking from my clutch cable what is the cause & solution to repair.

The clutch cable has a seal in the end of it to keep transmission oil from working it's way up the cable. If yours is leaking, the only way to fix this is to replace the cable. Drain the transmission and remove the chrome end cap on the right side of the bike. Disconnect the cable inside the cover and at the lever. While you're in that area, replace the small throwout bearing on the end of the clutch pushrod and put a new o-ring on where the cable screws into the chrome release mechanism cover.

Good luck

When i hold the clutch in on my 125cc xsport pitbike there is a rattling noise in the engine like a ballbaring rolling round. help!

If it sounds like there's a ball bearing rattling around in your engine there probably is... take off the side cover and investigate it can't get any worse...if you keep riding it it'll only go bang and wreck the whole engine

How do I change the Transmission FLuid in a 1996 FLSTF

On the right side of the bike, just under the chrome end cover on the transmission, there is a small drian plug. I may be behind the exhaust pipes. I think it uses a Torx type wrench to remove it. Drain the oil here. Remove the large plug in the chrome cover with a 3/8" hex key and refill the transmission with 20-24 ounces of the appropiate lubricant.

Good Luck

How and where do you change the oil and filter for 2005 c-90 boulevard?

Run engine to warm up, Make sure bike is level and safe! drain plug is under at the back of engine, oil filter is a spin on located at the front under the battery box, fill plug is on right side behind small chrome cover (fuse box cover) it should hold approx 4.5 qts, make sure oil is specific for Wet Clutches and a 10W40, personally I use Mobile One 4T full synthetic, fill to top line on sight window

Want to change the oil and filter on my 1999 flstc

The oil drain is a large diameter hose with a metal plug in it. It runs down along the backside of the frame just behind the transmission on the right hand side of the bike. There is a metal clip welded onto the frame to hold the hose. Take the hose out of the clip, remove the plug, and drain the oil tank. Refill with three quarts of oil

The transmission drain is a small 1/8" pipe plug that takes a Torx wrench to remove. It is located on the right side of the transmisson just below the chrome clutch release cover. The tranny takes 20-24 ounces of H-D trans lube or Syn3 oil. The transmission fills through the large hole in the top of the chrome clutch release cover. It takes a 7/16" hex key to remove the plug, It has a dipstick on the plug.

Where is the oil filter on my yamaha V-star 1100

On the right side of the bike (right side when ou are sitting on it) just above the rear brake lever behind a small circular plate. remove the plate and the oil filter is inside (you will easily see it). Warning---on these bikes you have to drop the front exhaust header and right floor board in order to change the oil filter unless you install a after market oil filter relocation kit. If you plan on changing your own oil it is highly recommended to install this relocation kit.
