What is ticking noise from passenger side of motor?

Valves and tappets make that sound when not getting enough oil. When you drive there's more oil pressure and the valves/tappets get enough oil. Of course road noise could be drowning out the sound and the valve noise could still be there.

It might be a restricted or dirty blower motor. Is your heater or ac running? If so, turn it off to see if the noise goes away.

My fan motor quit working. Is there a site I can get pictures and instructions to replace myself. Thanks.

what kind of ticking noise, try checking belts and belt surrounds or alternator pulley wheel not bent. is noise top or bottom. if top ??? ( just hope no ones left a nut etc in cam case )

Catyalytic converter

the polos have a recycle flap motor located on the passenger side behind the glove compartment and a temp. flap motor also located behind the glove box but more towards the center of the dash and near the bottom.one or both of these motors are probably stuck or slipping on the plastic gears.

That ticking noise you hear is an HVAC actuator that has failed. It is a small motor with a plastic gear and the gear has stripped causing it not to open/close as it should.

pritty much. The lifters are making the sound. Chevy motors do it as well. I do not like it but both manufacturers say it is ok. I do not hink they should have metal on metal like that. The only 2 things that the triton was known for is the head gaskets leaking from the head on the rear passenger side of the motor down on the starter and coolant leaking from the heater core hose down on the passenger rear coil and spark plug. Good motors they seem to run for ever.
