You may have a weak battery. Get it checked for free at a battery shop. Sometimes a weak battery will work and other times they won't.

cold weather affecting the engine starting could be the coolant temp sensor, it reads when the coolant is cold and adjust the fuel and air for a cold start.it is kind of like having an old car with the choke stuck open.

It could be the relay, But I don't think you have one, most starters are direct wired from the key to a solenoid on the starter, If there is a relay, it is the big fuse box under the hood, and is just a electric switch, not subject to cold. It sounds more like the terminals are filthy and the contacts are not connecting. Clean off all the wires with a wire brush and scrub the terminals with it, get underneath the connections too. Where the battery cables connect to the lead terminals, If I was up there I would be plugging in my car at night to keep it warm. It will start right up in the morning.

That is so weird, because my 2004 Alero was doing the same thing a few weeks ago. I took it one morning to the auto place because I was really worried, but it didn't do it again while at the shop. It hasn't done it as badly as that one morning, but it occasionally idles a little high. Still haven't been able to figure out way.

Hard starts in the morning even though replaced most parts

Check the power to the cold start injector. (it's only going to have fire for a few sec. after the key is turned on). If the fire is good, replace the cold start injector. This injector is activated for a few seconds when the engen temp is low to add a little fuel lower down in the intake and closer to the pistons.

Won't start in the morning

It might need a good tune up and the computer scanned as well to see if it hasn't got any cold start trouble code stored in the memory.
