The S50 has get up and go. I was surprised.
They are still carborated. And the front brake disc has no holes in it, so it's noisy.
The noisy front brake is the most common complaint. Also the seat.
My wife put a Mustang seat on her S50 and it stopped that problem.

She has 5000 miles on it now. It's a good bike. It's a 2006 but she bought it new 0 miles with full warranty in 2008.

We met a person at a rally that had 37000 miles on hers and she said she never had a problem with. Takes it in for maintanance service only. Never had to have anything fixed.

We see a lot of them that are old Moe, so they last.

My wife rides an C50, they are a little different with the C50 having a lower center of gravity and a biggere bike feel but still only a little over 400 lbs. But al we do is normal maintaince to the bike and it is very trouble free! She has riden from Wichita to Glacier Park and back with no trouble and at highway speeds... Again I will say my wife rides the C50 I ride a Vulcan 2000

REMOVE FUEL TANK ON 2008 900 VULCAN TO ROUTE WIRES FROM HANDLE BAR CIG LIGHTER TO BATTERY

you don't have to remove the tank. If you remove the speedometer cowl, there is a positive and negative under the cowl. Just tie your wires to these and you will have power. It is in the fuse panel under accessory.

Cost for valve tappet adjustment /Suzuki 2005 S50 12,000 miles.

Usually in the $200 range, as the bike must be stone cold and takes a little time to get to everything. Most places charge up to $80/hour for labor. Do not be surprised if you see a 3 hour bill.
Hope this helps
