On a 1981 gs750l suzuki how many wires come out to the plug

Yes it will work you might have a different design which I doubt but the function will be the same

make sure you dont have the solenoid wires hook backward

possible 3 and 4 pulsar coil bad.or a grounded coil wire.

most are in tight and 1 and 3/4 out

Yep, that is alright as the weak spark is a wasted spark. It should goes on each ignition cable a STRONG then WEAK sparks. It is just fine in your ignition.

i have a few diagrams from the clymers manual. gs750 fours 1977-1982. i have the same bike as you, but im not sure what diagram is the corrext one.. i think its the 1979 GS750N & EN one., lemme know if that works illl scan it

Go to this site and you can download a free PDF service manual.
www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp They have a single manual for a GS750. It is for a 1976. That is close enough to your '78 to still be very useable.

The 1981 Suzuki GS750L does not have contact points. It uses a signal generator instead.
