Look at your spark plug. White is lean, it sounds like your jetting is to small, not enough fuel.

2004 Ram 2500 starts, low idle 400 rpm and stalls, any ideas?

With out see it running on a scanner. Maybe the IAC or throttle body. Does it have any codes. Did you erase codes after rebuild? Any time I do a rebuild on engines and transmission, the codes have to to erased. Other wise you are trying to run a new part on old PCM codes. Codes have to be erased.

So I just bought a 2009 TC450 an the guy said the air fuel mixture wasn't right what is the correct setting for this bike

Hi, Johno for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix or parts inquiry. If necessary transport your vehicle to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. I have a 2004 honda shadow aero. When I was riding lasst weekend the bike shut off like it ran out of gas. It would turn back on, but when I gave it throtle it would die. I let it sit for a few hours and...

Sounds like the battery is dying. A low battery and/or bad stator or bad regulator will cause the battery to get low on voltage. Although enough to start the bike and idle, it will loose power to the coils under heavy throttle.

Idle problem. the bike wont stay idling, i adjusted the screws to 1.5 turns out, and tightened the throttle cable coming from the throttle and still doesnt idle without working the throttle.. timing maybe?

The timing is factory set and doesnt change, does it have the idle screw? I assume the one you adjusted is the air mixture screw at 1.5, you shouldnt adjust with the cable as it might cause the engine to rev on full lock, it needs a small amount of freeplay

Ideal jet combination for '07 tc450?

I have the 06 Husky TE510 so my jetting is different but I bought a JD jet kit and it has everything you need to set it up right. Check the plug and see if it is light almost white it is jetted too lean and you need to go bigger, if it is black it is too rich and needs to be smaller. A nice coco brown color is what you want to see.

Harley runs nice in 40-50 deg. weather only

Hey Tom, gonna try and help ya here...typical vapor lock/overheating is what your describing and i sure hear a lot of it w/harleys...are you using a very high grade synthetic oil , like castrol Syntec Actevo ? are you filling up w/ premium gasoline ?
make sure your timing is not too far advanced and don;'t let it idle too low...when you come to a stoplight stand up for a strech while letting your engine get air not blocked by your legs....all these things will help greatly......Good luck to you friend...Tim
