Ran last week , last year, last decade??????
battery voltage at 12.6v rested
y/n, if no charge it. you do know 1/2 dead battery runs HL ok but never a starter. so is not a valid test unless HD look DIM.
so learn to use a $10 voltmeter and all this is easy. stuff.
ok, battery is charged
did you try jumper cable jump starting it, if not why not?
anything else.
so that to me means the cab is dead.
the dash lamps all out.
key on.
so you blew fuses. fact.
front and rear boxes. check all fuses.

bingo !

when you replace any alternator/starter the battery minus lug must be pulled first.
if not you get blown fuses.
or worse a bath in Sulfuric acid or set blind for life.
did you mess that up>?

use a voltmeter, $10 at walfart.
    buy it and use it.
saves tons of wasted cash guessing
it is an investment grade tool.
12.6v at batter terms or more, key off.
    keyon
all fuses read 12v on both sides.?
    i bet NOT

SOURCE: isuzu axiom pull camper

As I recall, your Axiom has a Tow Rating of 5000 pounds -- but check your Owner's Manual to be sure. I have several friends who tow with their Isuzus (using 1st and 2nd Gen model Troopers and Rodeos) and pull pop-up campers, high-profile campers, ATV trailers, etc... There's even even one guy who pulls his Trail Rig (another Isusu) to various off-road events on an 18-foot tandem axle steel frame trailer -- All of them do so without any problem whatsoever. The thing is, all of them use a Load Distributing Hitch System, such as this: http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/subpages/hidden-hitch-weight-distributing-hitch-systems.htm It makes a HUGE difference. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: knocking in engine of a 2002 isuzu axiom

Where is the oil going? Is there evidence of leakage on the ground after parking overnight? My guess is that the garage did not tighten the drain plug or oil filter properly, causing it to leak out.
A knocking noise indicates serious damage to the engine, due to insufficient lubrication. The noise u hear is probably a bad crankshaft or connecting rod bearing. If this was due to improper tightening of the drain plug or filter, the garage is responsible (but good luck trying to get them to fix it). This is why I never let anyone change my oil/filter.

SOURCE: hood latch broken.how can i

first, try smacking the hood at one of the front corners while someone else pulls the release handle. or even after you've pulled on it. if that works, once open, adjust and lubricate the hood latch assembly. if it still won't open, and it's the cable and not the latch you'll have to replace it anyway, so instead of removing the grill, cut the cable behind the pull lever under the dash where you can reach it. then skin the outer cable insulation away from the actual steel cable exposing an inch or two of it. then holding the insulation and plastic housing with pliers, grab the steel cable itself with pliers and pull it to open the hood. then replace the cable. the further you can reach up under the panel the better your chances of getting past the broken part of the cable and avoid removing the grill. you might also be able to gain access from up under the car if you're lucky.

SOURCE: isuzu axiom 2004 3.5l cylinder

Below is a diagram for you. You tighten in 2 steps. the first is to 21.4 FT LBS and the second time you tighten to 47.2 FT LBS. Now the M8* bolt only on the right head you tighten to 15.5 FT LBS. Isuzu is pretty demanding so be sure you are right on the money. Also just in case you didn't know, do not reuse old head bolts they need to be replaced as they are nylon and stretch. Also do NOT put oil on the treads of the bolts as you do on other engines. If you need any further assistance feel free to email me at [email protected] and I will do my best to answer what I can. I do have all the technical data and stuff as well as diagrams. I hope this helps and good luck.

Why does my headlight on my Harley Road King 2003 keep flashing or flickering

Sometimes, a headlight may start flickering due to physical damage to headlight components. The inside of the connector may start to melt, causing a poor connection. the bulbs or lamps of your headlights are old or damaged, it can cause the headlights to flicker. Fortunately, this can be a relatively quick fix.

When the alternator starts to give out, your car’s electrical output is affected. This could result in flickering, dimming, or inoperative headlights, as the headlights depend on power from the vehicle's battery. When the alternator is unable to charge the battery, the vehicle's electrical system will quickly drain the battery. One of the most common causes of headlight flickering is a dying battery. Your headlights rely on power from the battery to function properly. If the battery is failing, flickering, or dimming headlights may be the result. In this situation.

Battery keeps dying, no headlights

Check to make sure the power lead from the alternator to the battery has a good connection. Sometimes the connectors get corroded, or the wire separates inside the insulation. You can check the wire for continuity with an Ohm meter...make sure to disconnect the wire at both ends when you use the Ohm meter.
Make sure the battery has a good clean ground. Make sure the alternator is grounded to the engine and the engine ground strap is intact and has clean grounds on both the engine and frame. Test the alternator with the engine running using a voltmeter across the battery. You should read 13.5 to 14.7 volts. If the alternator is not charging the battery will go dead under normal operation. If you don't get the correct charging voltage either your connections are bad or the alternator is bad.

Car won't start

Anything is possible, but I doubt the new battery has failed.
Chances are the alternator is not charging the battery.
The alternator should be able to power the headlights and engine once it starts.
You also need to know why the battery went dead overnight.

Electrical Issues B2200

Your alternator is not yet doing anything. Minimum voltage, even with all accessories on, should be around 13.5 volts. Check all fuses, connections, grounds, and wiring. Have the alternator tested if you find nothing amiss.

I replaced the battery because my 2002 lancer would not start, but even with a new battery I get zero power, no headlights, no locks, no anything. What should I check next and how?

That is usually an indication of a grounded wire, shorted Alternator or voltage regulator or a blown relay int eh power distribution box. You will need to check all of those. When checking the battery wires look for stiff parts or brittle spots in the cables indicating that corrosion has gotten under the insulation. Trace the positive battery wire all the way to all connecting points as a ground on that will cause this to happen. Check for corrosion anywhere on or near the power distribution box under the hood as that will cause you to have this problem.

Your charging system appears to be fluctuating. May be time for a new Alternator. OR You have a poor battery connection affecting the alternator.

Problem with loosing charge on battery it seems that the alternator is draining it. have replaced both and the same problem. have also checked all other connections on the motor and still no luck. any

is voltage at battery when engine running and headlights on around 13.5-14volts?
if so its not the alternator
do a current draw test with amp gauge in system with everything off 0.02-0.05amp good any more than an amp will drain battery over night something staying powered up or a short can cause this

Pontiac Tempest shuts off once I turn on my headlights

Investigate the battery and the alternator.
The battery's only job is to start the car.
The alternator's job is to power the electrical supply for the car.

The battery can go bad at any time, and the alternator is probably is putting out only enough electricity to only keep the car running. And not enough to power charge the battery and power the headlights.
