How much air is supposse to be in the tire

How much air should be in a car tire?
According to Berger the maximum inflation pressure for modern tires is typically between 44 and 51 PSI (pounds per square inch). If a driver inadvertently puts too much air in a tire it won't necessarily cause any damage, but it will impact other aspects of the vehicle.

HOW DO I TURN OFF TPMS LIGHT ON DASH

Air up all of your tires to the factory recommendations. You can find out what pressure to set your tires at in your owners manual or on the driver's door jam on a sticker. Some spare tires have TPMS sensors, so make sure to put air in your spare tire. If this doesn't solve your problem, take your car to a tire shop. The sensor/s may be bad or just need to be reprogrammed.

Hope this is helpful :-)

Have a 2009 Malibu, tires are excellent condition. warning light came on "low air right front tire, put air in and week goes by and comes on again, we take it to Sears to check it and also rotate the...

Either someone is letting the air out of your tire or it has a leak. Obviously the shops you have taken it to are incompetent if they can't find a leak. A good shop will submerge the tire and rim in a vat of water and look for air bubbles. If you have alloy rims, occasionally the rim may have "porosity" where the air bleeds out thru the center of the rim between the tire beads. A good rim shop will have sealant that is sprayed or brushed on the rim center to seal it.

My tire pressure sensor keeps coming on every few days, It recently started this since the weather has turned cold. I keep putting air in the tires. is there anything I can do so that I don't have to keep...

Tires do lose air pressure when the temperature drops. They should stabilize after a while and ndot need constant service. Don't rely on the tire pressure sensor. Use a good tire gage to determine the need to add air. If you are adding air every few days, I would think you had a slow leak somewhere. Is it all 4 tires or just one. What about the wheels. Are they the original wheels, or customs. Some custom wheels don't seal as well as the originals. If you really are losing air every few days, you might want to consider sealing the tires with a commercial product such as the one called Slime. It's kind of pricey, but works great.

2005 toyota highlander, what is the correct tire pressure? Cannot get the air pressure light out after pressing the reset button. What do you suggest. I put 32 lbs of air in the tires

Look on the end of the drivers door or door jam for a sticker that should list the pressures and tire size. I had air removed from my tires and installed nitrogen. It keeps the right level better and doesn't cause the sensors to go bad like air can. $5 a tire at most tire dealers.

Why does it show the message: LOW TIRE PRESSURE

there is a tire pressure sensor on each tire check the air pressure on each tire and recalibrate the system each time you put air in any of the 4 tires or if any of the tire gets low air.Its like teaching the system on the present tire air pressure. One thing more the valve on each tire are special valve that have electronic part inside so make sure you dont replace them with an ordinary tire valve.Recalibrating shld be done on workshops with the proper tool

My tire reset

heres what you do dont try to use the reset computer. the computer will reset it self. just make sure that when you put air in your tires the car is level... then using your tire guage bleed out each tire to 25 psi...now....pump your tires back up to 33psi each. i like to put in 33psi becouse when the tires heat up.. hot air expands so it should read 35psi to 36psi and thats ok.the computer will re set on is own after you,ve driven it around for a while.
