Question about 2002 kawasaki VN 1500 Vulcan Classic

Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 classic - no spark

This is a weird one. I don't know where to go from here.
I was riding on the highway and hit a bump. At that moment I lost all electrical - no lights, no panel, nothing! To make a long story short, I found the main 30 amp fuse had blown. All the others were OK. I replaced it with the spare and had my electrical back. I thought it was fixed. It would now turn over when I tried to start it. But it wouldn't start. Then I found I have no spark. Everything else looks OK.

It appears there was some sort of short to blow the fuse, from hitting the bump. But now what. I don't know what to look at next to find why there is no spark...

Sounds to me you knott out the recketfier ... when you blow the fuse at also sent to much power to it. but also sounds like you have a bad ground wire.

Hi, Paul and the usual suspects are:
1. Clutch controls improperly adjusted.
2. Insufficient clutch spring tension.
3. Friction discs or steel discs are worn or warped

Hi, Brandon my guess is you have a faulty spark plug or spark plug wire/cable or ignition coil or wiring to the coil is corrupt, check the ohm reading on your plug wires/cables for more information about your question and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below. It is possible that these items have worked loose over time and everytime you hit a bump or rough patch they 'flutter'. If you have a manual check them out and see if they are within tolerance. Also check the connections for dirt and grime, and check the wiring to make sure it hasn't cracked, rubbed through or worked loose on the connections.

1993 Kawasaki 1500 vulcan, has a mis in it when idleing and decelarating, any ideas?

Spark plug caps are one of the problems that most people overlook. Most caps have a 5000 OHM resistance. If they measure higher or lower than 5000 they should be replaced. They can cause you to drop a cylinder , miss at idle, sputtering down the highway.
NGK caps can be purchased for $3-$8 each. Change your plugs and caps at the same time in case one of the plugs has fouled.
