Question about 1984 Honda vt 500 ft ascot
I have a 1983 honda vt500 ascot .When running i can take one of the spark plug wires off when it is idling and engine rpms dont change.when driving it ,it bucks like the other cylinder is starting to kick in and it takes off. where can i get a carb exploded view
First of all, did you remove BOTH spark plug wires for the cylinder? Each one has two spark plugs/wires for a total of four.
It sounds like your carbs are out of sync. One cylinder may be getting too much fuel and fouling out. You need a carb sync tool that hooks up to the vacuum ports on each cylinder to see if both are pulling the same amount of vacuum/fuel.
