Wheel bearing? If you turn left and it gets louder. It is the right wheel bearing. And vice versa.

What is causeing loose play in my steeringwheel when i turn it left or right?

If there is no shaking or clunking you can probably rule out tie rods or ball joints, have your steering box checked for a worn or damaged worm gear, this can be adjusted

Front Suspension noise

From your description,I suspect worn tie rod ends. The tie rods connect the steering gear to the wheels.grasp the tire rod while you or an asistant shakes the wheel from 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock to pin point where it's loose. could be inner or outer ends or both.

While driving dwn the road i hve a bad shake in my steering wheel i have a 1999 gmc yukon

it sounds like the front tires need balancing.if you drive the truck slowly(creeping down the road at about 5mph)and lightly holding the steering wheel do you feel the steering wheel moving back and forth.this could indicate a bad belt in a tire where as a wheel imbalance won`t show up at this low of a speed, but a bad belt will.also have the front end checked for worn front end components and wheel bearings, this can cause a bad shake too.

When driving my car the steering wheel shakes

If the steering wheel starts to shake between 55-65 MPH then you need to balance the wheels. If it shakes when you press the brakes, your brake rotors are warped and need to be cut or replaced. If the steering wheel shakes at low speeds then it's possible one of your rims is bent or one of your tires is out of round. Leaving a car parked for a long time in snowy and icy roads will damage your tires, causing them to warp. Depending on which situation is causing your steering wheel to shake, have it looked at.

Strange noise from front drivers side after approaching 30mph.

2 possibilities bearings or damaged rotor. Inspect the rotor, and you can jack the vechicle up just by that tire leaveing the tire free to turn. grab the wheel on the sides try and shake top to bottom in and out, then side to side in and out. If you have play more than likely its your hub bearings.

Whirring noise in the front-end of a 2000 Cirrus

it does sound like wheel bearing a cv joint dont make noise and then stop but you can jack the car up and in neutral try to shake the tire from side to side.to see if you have any play then turn the wheel by hand try to feel for roughness in bearing. let me know what you find. Phil.
