SOURCE: how to install ink cartridge in deskjet 1512 copier/printer?

when you open the door to install the cartridges , hp normally have a decal showing you how to remove and install on the inside of the door
other than that go google and type in --user manual for HP deskjet 1512 printer/copier --
look for the pdf download version

Hi again the last time I put a cartridge in a hp1512 I had to to use a fair amount of pressure to get them in ...cheers hi 61 r the correct cartride for youre hp1512 check to c if anything is broken where u load the cartridge ....good luck

HOw to install ink cartridge on HP Photosmart7760
Install the ink cartridges.
  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Lift the top cover.
  3. Open both ink cartridge cradle latches by pulling each latch forward and then up.
  4. Pull the pink pull-tab to remove the clear tape from each ink cartridge. Do not touch or remove the copper contacts.
  5. Insert the HP #57 tri-color ink cartridge in the left stall. Insert the HP #58 photo ink cartridge in the right stall.
  6. Close both ink cartridge cradle latches by pushing down on each latch until it snaps into place.
  7. Close the top cover and press the OK button to print a calibration page. This verifies that the print cartridges are installed correctly.
