Question about 2008 Yamaha MT-03

1 Answer

How do I release the fuel line from the tank on an MT-03. I have removed the clip - its just the actual fuel line to break now but I can't see how it works properly so I can't release it.

Check the owners manual you should have got with the bike, if not check ebay there are loads available.

You will need to remove the two electrical connectors as well as the two pipes, one the overflow, the other the breather. Best to remove these first.

There is a safety cover that needs to be removed before you can release the main fuel plug. Once the cover clip is removed, the main clip needs to be squeezed at the release point (you should see the depress points), and pulled gently to remove. Best you have a friend hold the tank while you do this.

I found this to be a problem when I first removed the tank off my mt-03.

1991 firebird 305 v8 TBI won't start,no fuel reaching carb

fuel pump is inside the fuel will need to drop the tank by removing the 2 straps that hold it up..make sure you put a jack under the tank so it does not fall and break the fuel lines when you get the straps off.
once you have the straps off , carefully lower the tank to provide access to the lines. Most likely you will need to aquire the fuel line removal can rent these fron Autozone..once the tank and lines are removed, you will need to get the fuel delivery module(FDM) out of the tank...there is a large "c" clip that holds the FDM in the careful when removing it cause usually the assembly is spring loaded and will pop up out once the clip is the bad news...the fuel delivery module may be very expensive for the whole thing...when at the parts store..see if you can just buy the pump assembly...the pump alone should be about 80-100 bucks...a delivery module may cost upwards of 300 or more...reassemble in reverse order...a word to the wise...when you take the tank straps off, there is the possibility that you may break the experience with older cars is that you almost always break the i just cut them off and replace with new ones

How do I change the fuel filter on a 2003 blazer?

1. Remove your gas cap to relieve any pressure on the tank.
2. If it is easy to see, then is a cap and valve stem assembly on the fuel injection supply rail. A small squeeze on this will relieve pressure on that end. (Use caution for a small amount of fuel may seep out.
3. Your fuel filter should be located along the frame rail underneath your vehicle. Probably about even with the your drivers side door.
4. Remove the filter using normal hand tools on one end. The other end may be fitted with plastic clips that squeeze together to release the fuel line. (If you happen to break a clip they are available at most auto supply stores in the "HELP" section)
5. Remember that you will lose some fuel so be prepared when you remove the filter. USE CAUTION when first breaking the lines apart.. just in case of any pressure..

Best of Luck, and let me know how you come out..

Where the fuel filter located on a 2002 Ford explorer

your fuel filter is well hid !! the fuel tank is on the passengers side of your explorer on the fuel filer is located on the front top of your fuel tank ! access to the filter is obtained by removing the heat shield at the front of the fuel tank, there are two bolts retaining the shield to the right frame rail and two bolts retaining the shield to the cross member. once the shield is removed you will see the filter,Be careful removing the fuel lines, the lines have locking clips that DO NOT remove from the lines !! and can be damage if you are not careful (which will result in complete line replacement if the ends are broken. the line clips are released by disengaging the top of the clip then folding the the edge over towards the side its attached to next push both side's in (towards center on top edge) then push clip down part way while pulling line loose .Good luck Thanks for using fix ya

How do I change the fuel filter on my 2000 Excursion? New filter has plastic clips

You need a small pocket screw driver and pinch the opposite end of the clamp to remove. Normally they come with new clips as the old ones break off. And if the filter has been on a long time the clips can actually wear out and can leak fuel if you don't replace also have to remove the one or two mounting bolts holding it on.

Fuel filter?

HI. this seems to be a faulty(clogged) filter but, i would also change the fuel pump as well. this is good preventive maintenance. the fuel filter can be changed in the parking lot. it is located near the fuel tank and, it is along the outer frame work, inline with the fuel lines.

You will need to separate the fuel lines on each end of the filter to release it. there will be clips on the ends of the filter that hold the fuel lines. be careful not to break these clips. it is very hard to release the fuel lines of the filter when these clips are broken.

To clarify the location of the filter, it is located Under vehicle, driver side, below seating area, front of fuel tank, mounted on frame rail in fuel line
