Simple job. The low beams are 9006 bulbs and the high beams are 9005. The only one you may have trouble replacing is the passenger side high beam which requires moving the power steering fluid reservoir out of the way to access. Each bulb has its own connector. They just slide off but you need to ensure you press the release catch on the connector before doing so. Look at the replacement bulb and you will notice a small tab or bump on the one flat side of the bulb base right near where the bulb plugs into the connector. This tab holds the connector on because part of the connector rides over the tab and holds onto it. Reach in and press the release catch near the wired end of the connector then slide the connector off. Rotate each bulb about 1/4 turn counter clockwise to remove from the lamp assembly. New ones just install in the reverse order.

SOURCE: 2005 Suburban: how do you chang headlight bulb on 2005 chevy subu...

first see if you can reach behind the whole light and get to the connector, daytime running light is more towards the centre of the truck. if you can reach it, just turn it and pull the bulb out. if not then its either going to be bolts or long rods holding the light in place, remove those and then turn the connectors to expose the bulbs

Bypass head light switch and see what you get. Three items can cause your problem . The head light switch, flasher relay , shorts in circuit. I would go with switch.

SOURCE: headlight bulbs always blowing honda civic type r 2005

are you using the stock OEM light wattage?

If you're running higher wattage than what is recommended ... you will run the risk of premature failure ... plus you could burn up the light wiring harness. If you are only using stock wattage and having this issues.. are you using SilverStars? They aren't known for lasting long in some cars.

Otherwise:

Make sure the headlight lens does not have any cracks. If moisture is getting in it will burn out quicker. Also check to make sure the electrical socket is not corroded. If it is, use an electrical cleaner and then put a dab of dielectric grease in the socket. When installing the new bulb, do not touch the glass part. Oil from your hands may shorten the bulb's life.

Check your under the hood fuses for your high beams, if anything but the correct fuse is in there it will kill the bulb from over powering it. If that's good, check the power wire, make sure it is not grounding out, and then check your grounds.

If all else fails go to http://www.hondahookup.com/manuals/
make an account and download the Factory Service Manual they have one for the EP3 and while it's the USDM version I'm sure your ground connections and voltages are the same.

What do i remove to replace right turn bulb on 2005 honda civic

I assume you are talking about a front bulb. If not, leave a comment and I will tell you about the rear bulb.
If you are changing the bulb on the driver’s side, start the engine, turn the steering wheel all the way to the right, and turn off the engine. If you are changing the bulb on the passenger’s side, turn the steering wheel to the left.
Use a flat-tipped screwdriver to remove the holding clip from the inner fender, and pull the inner fender cover back.
Remove the socket from the headlight assembly by turning it one-quarter turn counterclockwise.
Remove the bulb from the socket by pushing it in and turning the bulb counterclockwise until it unlocks.
Insert the socket back into the headlight assembly. Turn it clockwise to lock it in place.
Test the lights to make sure the new bulb is working.
Put the inner fender cover in place.
Install the holding clip. Lock it in place by pushing on the center.
Hope this helps you.

Replace driver side lowbeam headlight on a Honda 2005 Civic EX

  1. 1 Locate and remove the power steering reservoir from behind the driver's side headlight assembly. Pull straight upward, sliding it off its mount and set aside for access to the headlight bulb. Make sure you keep it upright so it does not spill.
  2. Step 2 Locate and remove the electrical connector from the back of the bulb. Depress the locking tab to release it and pull the connector down, removing it from the bulb.
  3. Step 3 Turn the bulb counterclockwise ¼-turn then pull the bulb straight out of the headlight assembly. Insert a new bulb into the headlight assembly and turn it ¼-turn clockwise to lock it in place.
  4. Step 4 Install the electrical connector by plugging it into the bottom of the bulb. Push the connector in until the locking tab engages the bulb, securing it to the bulb.
  5. Step 5 Slide the power steering pump reservoir onto its mount.

How to change my headlights on Honda 2005 CRV

easy cheesy! Ive changed mine twice. The headlights are small bulbs. Make sure you get the right one (hi-beam vs low-beam). Unplug connector at back of bulb / headlamp unit, remove rubber weather seal (pops right ot). The bulb is held in with a small wire clip that is hard to get back on but can be done. Its spring loaded. Drop wire clip, turn bulb assya 1/4 turn, and it comes right out. Remove bulb from holder and replace. Reverse steps and VOILA!
