You will have to clean the floats in carb and blow out the jets. Wouldn't be bad ideal to get new needle and seat.

Engine stalls out when shutting off the choke

Hey Bill, ...........My crystal ball is working fine..
Sounds like you need a professional carb cleaning and setting.. when a bike won't run unless the choke is on, its either the carbs need cleaning, or you have developed an air leak.. if the bike has been sitting for a length of time..its the carbs...once you get the carbs cleaned and set...you should be fine.. if it does nor correct the issue..please reply to me on here... thanks.. please rate as helpful...

Not getting any power unless choke is on

Only running good with the choke on is an indicator that the bike is normally running too lean. The fact that it runs good with the choke on at least tells me it is getting fuel to the carb(s). Therefore it seems probable that there is clogging in the carburetor jets or there is a big air leak between the engine and carb(s).

Carb on big bear 350 quad was plugged from sitting ,took apart and cleaned ,bike won,t idle unless choke is out a bit ,but if you push choke in and keep reved up will run ,also backfires when letting off...

it is a garantee that the main jet is stoped up with that grayish dried gas minerals..this not in the main jet valve you can remove, but actually in the bore on the carb body... you can try to use torch tip cleaner to open the hole ...hope you the best ....it is a very hard substance...someone tried starting the bike after being set up for a while without removing carb and cleaning first.....sincerely;R.B.V.

2003 harley 1200 custom sportster with 50 miles strats up fine with choke pulled out. once engine is warm and choke is pushed in 50% bike stalls out. have repalaced gas, spark plugs and just took apart...

A 2003 model with only 50 miles?? Wow....well,since youve already taken the carb apart and cleaned it,did you hook up the vaccum line for the VOES switch on the intake manifold? If so,..when you get the bike running,..spray some brake clean around the intake where it bolts to the heads. If the idle picks up,or starts to sputter,..youve got leaking intake gaskets. Which is a good possibility on a bike that old with that few miles on it.The choke essentailly adds more fuel to the motor, and by what your saying, the bike is obviously running lean. Also,...im ASSUMING that you have fresh gas in it,and the petcock is turned on.

Just picked up this 1996 GPZ 1100 ABS. Starts ok with full choke but does not idle. Need to keep the choke on to keep the bike running. Once I close the choke the bike does not idle. Checked for air...

It sounds like the carbs are gummed up from sitting. The fuel that we get now is very unstable and gums up quickly. When you choke the bike it is bypassing the carbs and that is why it runs. I would suggest a carb clean and fuel tank flush, the carbs are very intricate and should only be worked on by a qualified technician.
Thanks,
Steve

Went i star the bike i open the choke to warm the bike after a few sec close the shock the bike die runs only with the choke open what can be

This is a classic example of a clogged pilot jet in the carburetor. You need to clean the carburetor circuits and jets.

Bike wont idle unless the choke is on.

Try cleaning pilot jets on carb or carbs. Also check for vaccume leaks like hose off of carb or bad carb boots.Spray carb cleaner around boots with bike running but be careful not to get it near exhaust or spark plug.

98 CBR F3 doesn't stay running w/o choke on

There seems to be fuel starvation to the carbs.
Check the fuel filter and the petcock, not bad too to clean the carb/s.
