My 1998 polaris trail blazer 250 automatic wont go forward, my daughter was riding it with no problems and stopped momentarily in a field to make a phone call, when she tried to put it back in gear it wouldnt move forward, it feels like it is going into forward it is just not moving forward, it goes in reverse and drives fine, any suggestions, I am mechanically challenged as far as diagnosing problems

There are several places you can go on the web that have free atv repair/owners manuals. The owners manuals usually have a wiring schematic on or towards the last page also trouble shooting diagrams with instruction in them.

The problem is a worn shift fork inside the transmision. Replace the shift forks and check the forward gear pinions and forward shift dog pinions for wear. If the pinions show any signs of wear replace them too.
