Vibrating bike

if the plug is white you are running lean.
plug should be tan to medium brown.
lean will cause rough idle, and popping on deceleration.
resolve = clean idle jet, circuit, and set mixture screw properly.
A job like this should really be left to a professional on that bike.

Bike is cutting out when trying to give it gas going down the road

which means the spark is breaking down on load conditions, probably idles just fine right? Check the spark plug for hot purple spark. other thing it could be is loose rubber boot between carbs and intake manifold. When you boot it the extra suction could be letting air sneak into engine without going thru carbs and having gas mixed in.

Why wont my bike start when it gets hot ?....

Hi, Stacey and the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ignition coil.
2. Faulty spark plug cables.
3. Faulty temperature sensor.
4. Faulty starter motor.
5. Valves adjusted too tight.
6. Spark plug gap too wide.
7. Fuel has vapor lock.

Idle low stalls stopped

This is usually a fuel problem. The bike is running either too lean or too rich. Check your spark plugs -- if there's black carbon on the tips, the fuel/air mixture is too rich and needs to be leaned out. If they're white, it's running too lean. If they're tan, there's some other issue. Clean or replace the air filters and check your inline fuel filter (if you have one) to make sure there are not clogs or obstructions.

When i got the bike it wasnt running .it had no coils ,no plugs .iv bought new ones and need to know what lead goes were from waht coil .

The coil for the #1/4 spark plugs is mounted on the left side of the bike, and has the solid orange (ground) wire and the red-with-white-tracer-stripe (hot) wire input leading to it.

The coil for the #2/3 spark plugs is mounted on the right side of the bike, and has the solid grey (ground) wire and the red-with-white-tracer-stripe (hot) wire input leading to it.

I've recently had a problem with getting my bike started, i have managed to get it to start now, but it can only be started with the choke fully open and if i try to close the choke it cuts out. (Even when...

It is most likely fouled spark plugs. You can take them out and sand blast them, or buy new ones.
I had a CBR 954, and noticed that the spark plugs fouled out pretty easily because it runs so rich at startup (and I would shut it down during the 'warm up' phase).
Here is some more information for you:
From http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080806081249AALKibM
What are signs or symptoms that spark plugs in a motorcycle need to be changed?
There are several things that could hint at bad plugs.

- Hard starting.
- Slight to severe hesitation when you give the bike some throttle.
- Stalling, especially when you give the throttle a good twist
- uneven idling (tends to zoom up, or down, or sputters)
- After running the bike for a little bit, take out one of the plugs. If the end of the plug is wet, its not firing, and it could be oil fouling the plug
- take a look at the color of the end of the plug -- if it is white, its running too hot, and it can cause misfires
- look at the same area, and if it is covered in black soot, it can be poor gas mixture and dirt in your tank causing it to foul
Hope this helps.

Excessive carbon on spark plugs

Several things come to mind on this. First, rejetting should be done by someone that can do all of the fine tuning also. If the idle mixture screw on the carburetors are still covered, you need to expose them for adjusting. Pull one spark plug and look at the color of the electrode. Black is too rich (too much gas) and white is too lean. You want a lighter brown. Put the plug back in and start the bike. On each cylinder, adjust that idle mixture screw all the way in, being gentle, to the stop. DO NOT OVER TORQUE, YOU JUST WANT TO REACH BOTTOM. Make note of the screw driver orientation and back the screw out 2 turns. This is the starting point. If the bike will no longer idle, adjust the idle screw for about 1000 rpm's. After running the engine for a couple of minutes at idle, do not rev the engine, just shut it off. Pull a spark plug and check the color. Again, you are looking for a light brown. If it is black, turn that carbs mixture screw in 1/2 turn, white, turn out 1/2 turn. Do this for each carb. I know, this is not the quickest way, but it is a sure way of getting the right mixture. It will be time consuming and you might even burn your fingers on the hot plugs.
Now that you have the right mixture, it is time to balance the carbs. I use a Carbtune monometer. Google Carbtune. This is a must to get the bike to run strong and smooth. You will need a service manual for this procedure. Go to Delphi Forums and look up the RSV, Royal Star Venture forum and you will find an electronic version of the service manual there, for free. Hope this helps.
btw, there is not anything around the spark plugs to adjust.
