I need to know the location of the crankshaft position sensor and the heated exygen senor (bank 2 sensor 1) on my 98 oldsmobile aurora

bank 1 is the front bank closest to the grill
sensor 1 is the heated oxygen sensor and is located in the manifold or before the cat converter
sensor 2 is the oxygen sensor and is located after the cat converter
get a specialist oxygen sensor tool so that the small wires are not damaged during repalcement

The car must be on a lift as the sensors are under the car in the exhaust pipe. You want the cylinder bank 2 sensor but be advised it is not recommended that just one be replaced, as they may send confusing signals from old and new senor to the cars computer this may turn the check engine light back on. The sensors are "upstream" (before the catalytic converters) and "downstream" (after the catalytic converters) In order to know what you need I need to know the fault code you received.

p0302 Misfire cylinder two

p0335 CKP Sensor 'A' Circuit Malfunction

p0385 Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor B Circuit

p0386 Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance

Make sure your crankshaft sensor is plugged in or replace the sensor if the plug is good.

CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR LOCATED BEHIND CRANKSHAFT BALANCER WHICH IS THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY.

The bank 2 sensor is located in the engine exhaust manifold/pipe behind the engine at the firewall.

Take the positive terminal of the battery for a few minutes , and hock it back up . that should clear the codes ...

2002 Oldsmobile Aurora V8-4.0 Replace Crankshaft (Sensors) A and B This car has 2 sensors 1- Raise and support car. 2- Remove the oil filter adaptor. 3- Remove crankshaft sensor electrical connector. For specific CKP sensor identification. 4- Remove the crankshaft sensor retaining bolt. 5-Remove the crankshaft sensor. NOTE= Inspect the CS sensor o-ring for wear or damage, if problem is found replace it also. 6- Lube O-ring with clean engine oil. 7- Install theretaining bolt TIGHTEN to 10 N.m (89lb in) 8-Install the CS sensor electrical connecror. 9- Install oil filtor adaptor. 10- Lower car. 11- Operate engine and inspect Cs sensor for oil leaks 12Perform the CKP system variation learn procedure.

P0171-This Relates to Bank 1 - System is too Lean

bank 1 sensor 1 will be in exhaust manifold by firewall in the middle. bank 1 sensor 2 will be behind convertor .bank 2 sensor 1 will be in the front manifold down at the end of it
