Make sure you have 50/50 mixture water and antifreeze.make sure water pump not bad.check weep hole make sure its not leaking on water pump.replace radiator pressure cap.also check make sure cooling fan working.

there are up to 25+ symptoms of engine overheat. flushing only works on toilets. My guess, is it's leaking coolant somewhere. There should be no pressure next morning.
Cold water does not build pressure. but if the vacuum breaker in the cap fails this can cause vacuum pressure, that sounds like air pressure. but is not. Reverse Does engine run ok. have full power, no pinging no water leaks. if it leaks say where exactly. locations matter, 1: steam blasting in to side, expansion tank running? 2: steam from tail pipe end.?
same on all water cooled engine,s this. the top fail is bad thermostat , they live about 7 years, says the top makers. the next is leaks, then bad RAD CAP, cooling fan dead? and more. running water only not Antifreeze 50%
Holts Wondarweld Flush engine. EXTERNAL CRACKS 1 Run engine until hot,drain off enough coolant to remove thermostat. 2 Remove thermostat. 3 Mix contents of can thoughoughly! and pour contents into thermostat opening. 4 Replace thermostat cover.& fill radiator with hot water,replace radiator cap. 5 Run engine at a fast idle for 15 mins,dont allow to boil.Top up if necessary. 6 Leave Wondarweld in system for 2-3 days then drain off,flush system replace thermostat and refill. HAIRLINE CRACKS 1 MIX thoroughly and pour into cold engine (radiator if it has a cap) 2 Run engine until hot. 3 Allow engine to cool then run again until hot. 4 Follow procedure 6 above. INTERNAL CRACKS 1 Follow external crack instructions except after pouring Wondarweld into engine remove spark plug from affected cylinder and run engine for 20 mins. If more than one cylinder affected run for 5 minute intervals. 2 Allow engine to cool then drain cooling system and refill with clean water. 3 Drain sump & flush,refill with fresh oil. Note:- 1/2 pint of Wondarweld for every 6 pints of water,DO NOT add antifreeze for at least 3 days after process.
Try with the small stuff first. Replace the thermostat. Before you do that, you should flush and refill your system with just water after the flush process. The bottle of solution that you put into your radiator to flush it and clean it has instructions, follow those. Then let the car cool down and drain the system and refill it with fresh water only. Run this water for a bit and then do it once more. Once cooled back down , replace thermostat and replace the 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water.
Check engine oil level as well, low oil will overheat engines quickly.

You could have a plugged radiator if your not losing water otherwise you could have a bad head gasket, cracked head, warped head if you are losing water.
If your car ran hot, you may need to check the radiator for a leak. You always need to add antifreeze/coolant when you add water to your car. Check you owner's manual for the type they suggest and the proper mix of water to antifreeze/coolant. I had to get a head on my motor shaved when my car ran hot and later I had to get the hoses replaced. My radiator cap died following my replacing the radiator as it was plastic and when the car overheated it damaged the cap. How long was the car running hot? You don't want to be a penny wize or a pound foolish when it comes to engine overheating problems. You can repair on the cheap now and pay a lot more in the long run. Also, in the future when your car runs hot, you can turn on the heater --yes even when it is hot outside--I recommend opening up the windows. The heater fan will help to dissipate the heat from the car engine. It does work. I hope these help. Also go to a reputable repair shop. It could be your thermostat they can have check valves which get messed up but you need to check to see if it is your radiator or if there is a leak there or in a hose.
sadly it sounds like you have a blown head gasket...Does the coolant smell like exhaust? I hope you don't but, everything points in that direction. Try bleeding the coolant system.
