Where ever the arrow is pointing is where the switch is at. if you don't know where on off or reserve is just unplug the hose from petcock and and turn the switch until no fuel comes out. you might want to catch the fuel with a bottle i'd recommend.

VTR250 leaks gas when warm after riding. Does not leak when cool, even with petcock ON.

Hi, Dalkeeper and the usual suspects are:
1. Damaged or restricted fuel tank venting system.
2. Loose float bowl screws.
3. Damaged float bowl o-ring.
4. improper fuel level in the float bowl.
5. Worn or dirty inlet valve or seat.
6. Damaged or leaking float assembly.
7. Particle contamination in inlet fitting cavity.
8. Damaged petcock diaphragm allowing fuel to flow through the vacuum line into the combustion chamber.

My zxr keeps blowing the main alternator fuse

Its either in the alternator itself which would be a shorted circuit or a short in a wire.
The only main fuse is on top of the solenoid.
There is a white wire which goes to the voltage regulator. If thats not touching ground anywhere, you need to check the voltage regulator or alternator , one will be shorted if the white wire isn't.

1992 ZXR 250 Ninja locked ignition & brakelight stuck on

Try jiggling the handle bars as you turn the key to relieve the pressure off the ignition lock. The kawasaki's have one position past the off "Lock" position that is called the "Acc" this will leave your brake light on. So the key switch goes "Acc", "Lock", "On". Make sure your key is in the Lock position and not the Accesory position

Fuel shut off valve

Recent shut off valves don't have an off position anymore it's been replaced with PRi which is prime..The petcock lever has a long side and a short side.w/long side pointed down that is ON..long side up that is RESERVE..halfway between is PRIME which is used when cycle has sat for a long time or has run out of gas...off is not used anymore cause the petcock is vacuum actuated and only lets gas flow when engine is running...except for PRIME, these should all be printed/stamped on your petcock...Good luck to you friend....Tim
