I noticed when it was on its last breath, the speedo fluctuated up and down near 10 mph as I was traveling much faster. This happened same time last year, had a shop put new tires on it. When i got my bike back, the speedometer suddenly worked. Any thoughts on possible causes?
Most likely your speedometer cable or sensor was the culprit. I assume they cleaned and lubed it properly and remedied the problem.
Thanks for the input MJ. The shop was not aware of the speedo issue when I had the tires replaced. Would they routinely lube the speedo components during a tire swap?
