Could be a control module issue, you probably need the arvices of a Kia technician. Not something that can properly be done here I think

the car will not start if the immo light is not lit. sometimes turning the key back and forth or removing it and locking then unlocking the car can sometimes remedy this.

All 4 stroke motors have a timing belt. the belt runs from the crankshaft pulley to the camshaft to operate the inlet and outlet valves. any more questions just ask. Alex.

yes very familiar problem.first do you now where your starter,
sit on the engine.try this the starter looks like two round long
cilinders one big and one small on top the big one.you can find the,
starter when you follow the red cable from the batterie.that goes to the starter.there you see the little cilinder ontop the big one.
now take small hammer an tap it one or twice on the small cilinder.
just tap tap.and try to start.the engine will start but when you chut down the engine,you need to tap it again to start.so you need new starter.
this test is to be chore this is the problem.you can by restored ones,
they are cheaper and really good too.
