SOURCE: Right headlamp doesn't work on low beam only

in this case make sure you have voltage going to the low beam lights. 12 volts. you need a volt meter. if you do not have volatge you have to check and make sure power is going through the fuse. a bad fuse will be broke, but you can have a good fuse with no power going through it. if you have power going through the fuse you have a wiring open somewhere between fuse and whatever is between the headlight connecter.

plz check and get back i will keep checking on here on and off.

SOURCE: low beams dont work, only high beams do. 02 tacoma

If there is power there, then it has to be the bulbs. The trouble that most people have is, they don't see how both bulbs could burn out at once... and they're right. They don't. But you see vehicles with one headlight all the time. They don't know it unless you tell them or they happen to see it themselves. Then the second light burns out, and they think it's a major catastrophe, when in fact, it's just bulbs. The high beam still works because the bulb is double filament. The only other thing it can be is the dimmer switch, and since you switched it to high, it appears to be working. However, if it's not bulbs, it still could be the switch.

Low beam fuse

dimmer switch. If its an older truck, it should be in the floor, but if its the newer vehicles, you must lower the steering column, make sure to tape the metal rod in place that works it, mark the location of the switch, and replace with a new one. You may be in luck, sometimes the bolts get loose and the switch will just be out of adjustment, if this is the case, then you should be able to slightly loosen the dimmer, move it up a little bit, tighten it down and be good.

Lowbeam headlights wont work, brake lights are out and check engine light is on...changed th dimmer switch, no luck

For the low beam problem, Swap relays 45 & 46 in the underhood fuse panel. Relay 46 is for the Low Beams. If that fixes the light, replace the relay that cam out of position 46.
Since the high mounted brake light is working, that indicates that the brake switch is good. You need to check the bulbs in the rear tail light assembly, if they are good, check fuse #34.
